Chapter 36

MACSIMO's POV

Nang sabihin sa akin ni Tasy na sinasagot niya na ako, kahit hindi pa naman ako nanliligaw, ay biglang kumabog nang malakas ang puso ko.

I was walking on my way to the classroom, i didn't see my girlfriend since this morning, pagkatapos ko siyang ihatid at sabay kami pumasok.

It's now lunchtime, napadaan ako sa garden ng school, where there are gazebo's, where student can study.

I was about to walk, when i saw my girlfriend and Vincente talking, Tasy was saying something, i walked towards them. Hindi ako masyadong lumapit at umupo sa katabing gazebo, hindi ko masyadong naririnig ang pinag-uusapan nila kaya tinitigan ko na lang.

Later on, my lifted when they both stood up. Sinundan ko sila ng tingin, tumigil sila sa paglalakad, humarap si Tasy kay Vicente at tinapik ko ito sa braso.

"I'm glad to be friends with you, Vicente. You're a good friend." Rinig kong sabi nito bago naglakad palayo. Sinundan ko sila at nakita ang pagpasok ni Tasy sa room niya.

I went inside my room, I'll talk to her later. I won't ask her, though. Kusa sana niyang sabihin sa akin kung ano ang pinag uspan nila, kung hindi naman, that's okay.

Uwian, sinundo ko si Tasy sa kaniyang room, she waved at me and smile. Sinalubong ko siya at sabay na kaming nag lakad, our friends just behind us, talking about something.

"Hay, grabe, gusto ko na matulog!" Daing ni Kime, tumabi siya kay Tasy.

"Same, mag practice pa pala tayo bukas, 'no?" Tanong niya sa akin. I nodded at her. When we reach the parking lot, our friends bid goodbye.

"Baby, i didn't see you the whole day." Tasy pouted, I smiled at her and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. Nasa loob na kami ng kotse at sininulan ko na mag drive.

"Ah, kanina pala, Vicente and I talked. He told me about his feelings, don't worry, he told me it's okay na sabihin ko sayo." Sabi nito. Lumingon ako sa kaniya at tumango. Ah, so he finally confessed, huh?

"Damn, i didn't notice he likes me..." sabi nito, tumingin ako sa kaniya, I chuckled. She looks at me, naka taas ang kilay, mukhang nagtataka bakit ako tumatawa.

"Well, you didn't noticed i like you back, then." Umirap ito sa akin, "ayoko kasi mag assume, 'no! Pati, mixed signals ka sometimes." Sabi nito.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I was confused back then, too." Sabi ko sa kaniya. We talked hangang maihatid ko na siya sa kaniyang bahay.

Her birthday day came, agad akong naghanda at bumili nang sing sing. I decided to give her a promise ring. That ring will symbolize my promise and will be sealed by that ring.

Yes, i know it's too soon para sabihin na papakasalan ko siya. Pero para sa sarili ko, alam kong siya ang papakasalan ko.

Sigurado ako sa kaniya.

She didn't message me the whole day, which I thanked because i was nervous, what if she'll reject the ring?

Nah, don't think about that Macsimo, she's not like that. Inayos ko ang likod ng kotse, I bought snacks, too.

We'll have a movie night, habang nasa favorite spot namin kami. I was biting my lips when I parked outside their house, i texted Tasy na nandito na ako.

When i saw her got out of their gate, my heart thumped.

Damn, girlfriend ko 'to?!

Tangina, hindi ako makapaniwalang pinatulan ako ng mala diyosa. I hugged her and complimented her before we got into my car.

While driving, pa simple kong hinahaplos ang sing sing na nasa bulsa ko. When we reached the view. My heart was thumping so fast.

And when i knelt infront of her, and saw tears in her eyes, gusto kong punasan iyon.

"And with this ring, I sealed my promise to you..." I slid the ring on her finger.

I stood up and cupped her face, i kissed her, with those kiss, binuhos ko ang lahat ng pagmamahal.

I love her, so much. And I'll do everything to be with her, forever.

On Christmas day, my father went home, which surprised me. He celebrated with me, kaya medyo gumaan ang puso ko.

I was in a call with Tasy the whole night. I was drinking with my father, when i told him that i want him to my the love of my life.

"Pa, i want you to meet my girlfriend. I'll invite her here sa New year." He looked at me, and nodded.

"Tell me about her, son." He said. Ngumiti at at tumingin sa kawalan.

"She's precious. No words can describe how much i love her." Sabi ko sa kaniya. Tinapik nito ang aking balikat.

"PAPA, what the fuck?!" I shouted in anger, kakahatid ko lang kay Tasy. I was angry at my father for shouting at her, and being rude to her.

"What's your problem?!" Nasa opisino siya, at padabog akong pumasok.

He sighed and massaged his head, "I don't like that girl, Macsimo. Nililinlang ka lang niya. He would just hurt you!" Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya.

"Hurt me? How can you know?! Hindi mo siya kilala, Pa. Wag mong siyang husgahan!" Galit akong umalis sa loob ng opisina niya.

I can't fucking believe him.

We didn't talk for months after that, but when he suddenly came into my room, and told me that I'm engaged to Issa, napuno na ako.

"No, broke that engagement off. If you don't, hindi na kita kikilalanin na ama." I drove off and left that house.

Graduation day came, nagulat ako nang makita ang maraming tao sa bahay. What the fuck is this?

"What the fuck is happening, Pa?" Nangigil kong tanong, he smirked at me. "Nothing, son! I just want to congratulate you. Dahil mukhang matutuloy na ang engagement niyo ni Issa."

Issa walked towards me, pero mahina ko siyang tinaluk at kwinelyuhan ang ama.

"What the fuck are you saying?" He was smirking when he gave me something.

My heart broke into pieces, when i saw that.

"This is not true." Mariin kong sabi, habang tinitignan ang picture ni Tasy at Theron na naghahalikan.

Umalis ako sa bahay, at nag punta kung nasaan si Tasy ngayon. At mas lalo akong binaliw at nasaktan sa aking nakita. They were hugging each other.

Tasy tried to reach for me, but i went away. Wala sa sariling nag punta ako kung nasaan ang mga kaibigan ko.

But later on, Tasy came. I didn't glance at her. Ayaw ko siyang kausapin dahil mainit pa ang ulo ko.

This problem won't be solved if I'm driven by emotions.

Tasy was shouting at me, telling me that the pictures weren't true, and she told me that i was the one who betrayed her, because of the engagement.

Hindi ko masikmura ang nangyayari, i left her. I was driving so fast, thinking that this will solved all the emotions i was feeling.

And my eyes got blurry, and everything went by so fast, when i felt a loud impact hitting me.
