TASY's POV
"Why can't you go back there, Tasy?" My father asked. He was insisting that I should go back to the Philippines.
"I just..." I didn't know what to say, so i kept quiet. I heard him sighed at narinig ko ang pagbaba niya ng utensils. I looked at him, and he was looking at me, too.
"Is it because of Macsimo?"
I haven't heard that name for years...because i refuse to. I refuse to hear, think, and miss him.
"N-no, it's not about him." I cleared my throat and continued eating. My father sighed again, making me look at him.
"You should talk to him, you know? May balita ka ba sa kaniya?" Tanong nito.
I haven't heard from him, or any of my friends since then. I changed my number, and they changed, too. I deactivated my accounts and deleted it, kaya wala na akong balita sa nangyari sa kanila.
I once asked about them, but my Mama said she doesn't know.
While Kuya, he always change the topic when it comes to her. I respected that, ayaw siguro nitong pag-usapan.
"No, I haven't heard from him." Tumango lang ito at tumahimik na.
"Then, just go there for work, just for work." Anito. I sighed and thought about it.
Maybe, just maybe, if i go back there, i can see him, kahit sa malayo.
Our relationship was my last, because i whenever i tried to date someone, siya ang nakikita ko.
"I'll think about it." Aniko. Tumaas lang ang kilay nito bago pinunsan ang bibig, "Think about the work, Tasy. Maybe if you choose to go back there, mas mapapadali ang problema. At kapag naayos na, just come back here and never return there. Besides, maybe your Mom misses you."
I sighed and stared at the plate, thinking of it.
After a few moments, i stood up at kinatok ang kwarto ni Dad, magpapaalam na na uuwi na ako.
"Okay, drive safe." I nodded at him and went outside the house.
"Pink, can you book a flight to the Philippines?"
Will you be using your private jet?" She asked, I turned the steering wheel dahil nagpa park na ako dito sa parking area.
"Yes, please." She said okay and i heard she typed something in the background, kinuha ko ang mga gamit ko bago lumabas ng kotse at pinindot ang susi nito.
"When will you like to leave, Ma'am?"
"Tomorrow morning." She said okay and i told her a few things before i hang up.
I went inside my penthouse at diretsong nagtungo sa kwarto. I went inside the shower and took a quick bath.
While packaging my clothes, i sighed. Tama ba 'to? Is it right that i will go back to the Philippines?
Maybe, i should go back. I had some unfinished business there. My friends, of course. And, Him.
I continued packaging my things.
I was looking at the things at my cabinet nang hindi sinasadya kong makita ang pulang box.
My heart thumped, but it was painful. Dahan-dahan kong kinuha ang pulang kahon.
I opened it, hinaplos ko ang sing sing na nasa loob nito. I sighed, because this is the ring that he gave to me when he promised me to marry me.
Pero dati iyon, iba na ngayon.
If we see each other again, I'll return this to him.
Our memories, is still here. Buried within my heart, soul and mind. And maybe, it's time for me to let go.
After i was done packaging my things, agad akong natulog at maaga pa ang flight ko bukas.
I WOKE up when i heard my alarm. Agad akong bumangon at nag tungo sa banyo.
This is, i guess? I'm finally going back to the Philippines. Naligo ako at naghanda ng isusuot ko.
It's a one way flight to the Philippines, at matagal-tagal iyon, dahil hindi ko ata kakayanin ang kaba kapag tumigil kami sa isang bansa.
Bodyguards helped me with my things, at ang driver na rin na tauhan ni Dad ang nag drive sa akin patungo sa airport.
When we arrived at the airport, agad akong naglakad patungo sa loob. I did the things they required to do at sumakay ako sa bus shuttle patungo sa private jet na ni request ko.
When i went up to the stairs, flight attendants greeted me. Binati ko sila pabalik at inasikaso ako. I seated on the window seat.
I was looking outside the window, when the flight attendant asked me.
"Ma'am, what drinks would you like?"
"Just give me champagne, please? Thank you."
I thanked the attendant and drink the champagne. Kumalma ako ng kaunti.
Our flight took off and i was asleep the whole flight. And then, after a few long hours, i felt a tap on my shoulder.
"We're here, Ma'am. Welcome back to the Philippines" The flight attendant smiled, and I looked outside the window.
