A week after, they returned. Chris noticed that Bryan didn't take her back to the loft, but to a huge house. "Where are we?"
"This is our new home. I bought it a couple of years ago when I first moved here, but never lived in it, too big for just me. I think we need a new start. This would be perfect." He said as they entered into the big foyer, to the left a big living room and to the right a staircase. Straight ahead there was a big dining room, next to it the entrance to the kitchen. There was a door at the far end. "That's my study at the end. And as you can see we have a big backyard with a pool." He said as they walked through the glass doors.
"This house it's amazing."
"Plus it is only five minutes away from your school."
"Is that a guest house?" Chris said, pointing to a building next to the pool.
"Yes, but Maria and Gabriella are staying there for the moment."
"Really?"
"Yeah, they didn't have a place to stay, plus Maria takes care of the place. Our room is upstairs, is the one with the double doors, you can go and freshen up or rest for a while. I'll be in the study catching up on some work, okay?" He said kissing her nose.
She went to their room. It was a gorgeous, king sized bed, a balcony with a view of the pool. She threw herself in the bed and passed out. When she woke up, she could see the sunset. Bryan wasn't in the room. She went downstairs. She could hear laughter coming from the study. She burst in and saw Bryan tickling Gabriella. "Excuse me?" She said as they stopped.
"Hey, honey. How was your nap?" He asked, getting up.
"Not as good as your tickling session."
"Excuse me, I'll go help mom." Gabriella said leaving the room.
"Bryan, really? That's inappropriate."
"We were only playing around. I told you she's like a little sister."
"You wouldn't like some guy touching me like that, would you?"
"You're right. And I'm sorry. It won't happen again. So, ready for school tomorrow?"
"Yes, I'm excited. I got everything ready."
"Are you sure you got everything?"
"What am I missing?"
"How are you going to get to school?"
"You said it is only five minutes away. I can walk."
"I'm not going to have you walking. Come with me." He said pulling her outside. Outside next to his car there was a brand new car. "This is for you." He said pointing to it.
"Are you serious?" She asked excitedly. "Dad was going to buy me one next semester, but this is great. I love it. I love you." She said jumping on his arms and kissing him.
"I just have some bad news."
"What?" She asked, jumping back on the floor.
"I have to go away for a week. And you need to give Gabriella a ride to school."
"No! I'm not giving that girl a ride."
"Chris, come on. That way you guys get to know each other better and you'll see you have nothing to worry about."
"That girl is in love with you, Bryan. I used to do the same things she does. Are you really that blind?"
"Okay, I admit it. But I only see her as a sister, Chris."
"You used to see me the same way."
"But I love you, and I'm with you. And I'm never going to do anything to mess that up. Look, I'm going to promise you something, I'll tone down the way I act with her. Okay? Just give her a chance." He said, grabbing her waist and pulling her closer.
"Fine!"
