A beeping noise woke him up. He looked around the room. Where am I? He turned his face and saw Chris laying asleep in his arms. He kept hearing the beeping noise, then a voice outside.
"Joe, turned that alarm off." A woman's voice said.
Bryan stumbled out of the bed. "Chris, wake up." He whispered to Chris, shaking her.
"Mmm, what?" She said, rubbing her eyes.
"Your brother is here! I'm going to go out through the balcony door." He said, grabbing his clothes and heading to the door. He looked back at her; he walked over to her and kissed her quickly on the lips, then headed out.
As soon as he closed the door, her bedroom door opened and Joe walked in. "Hi, baby girl." Joe said, jumping in her bed and hugging her. "Oh, you look like crap."
"Thank you, Joey. We partied a little bit last night. I may have drank a little bit too much."
"I'm so glad you're here. I missed you."
"I missed you too. How are things with Priscilla?"
"Things are great. We are actually going on a trip. I'm so sorry. I know you just got here, but she surprised me with it today."
"That's okay. You guys go have fun."
"Alright, I just wanted to check on you. I'm sorry I stuck you in here with Bryan. I know you two are not the best of friends right now. As soon as we get back, we are buying a house and you can move in with us. Okay?"
"I'm fine, Joey. Just go enjoy your time with Priscilla, I'll be fine. Now go so I can go back to sleep."
As soon as Joe left, Chris went into the restroom and took a shower. She brushed her hair and teeth. She changed into some black cotton shorts and a white tank top. She went into Bryan's room. He was in the shower. She sat on his bed waiting for him. She looked at the night stand table and saw an envelope sticking out the top drawer with her name. She opened it quietly while looking at the bathroom door. She took a stack of letters written to her by Bryan but never sent. Underneath it, a stack of pictures of her from after he left; pictures of her with her friends, on her prom; pictures that were taken without her knowledge. It seemed that he kept tabs on her after he left. She heard the shower turn off and quickly shoved the letters and pictures back on the drawer before he came out with a towel draped around his waist.
"Did Joe leave already?" He asked, leaning against the doorway.
"Yeah, he and Priscilla are going out of town again. He said that when he gets back they are buying a house so I can move in with them." She said looking down at her hands.
"Is that what you want? You want to leave?"
"I don't know, Bryan." She said getting up from the bed and walking towards the door.
He crossed the room quickly and slammed the door closed as she was opening it. She was pushed against it. He grabbed her arms and pushed them over her head with one hand. With the other one he trailed her face tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I don't want you to leave. I want you." He crushed his lips on hers. His free hand went under her shirt up to her breasts. A moan came from her lips as she opened her mouth and returned his kiss. He let go of her arms as she put them around his neck, he pulled her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist as his towel fell. He walked to the bed and laid her down. She stared at him as he licked his lips, and as he lowered himself on her, his door opened.
"Bryan!" A young woman yelled. He turned towards her, covering himself with a sheet.
"Gaby, what are you doing here? Why didn't you knock?" He walked over to her and pushed her out of the room before closing the door.
Chris sat up in the bed as Bryan went to his closet. He came out dressed in a black suit. "Bryan?" She asked, looking at him as he sat on the bed and put his shoes on. "Who was that?"
He turned towards her and kissed her forehead. "She's the maid's daughter. Come, I'll introduce you." He said, grabbing her hand and pulling her out of the room. As they walked out, Gaby ran into Bryan's arms wrapping her legs around his waist and kissing his face.
"Gabriella, leave Mr. Blackenship alone." Said an older woman smiling at Chris. "I'm sorry, miss. My daughter doesn't respect boundaries. I'm Maria, and that's my daughter, Gabriella." She said pointing to the girl that Bryan was still hugging.
"Mrs. Rivera, this is Chris Grecco, Joe's sister. She'll be staying for a while." He said finally letting Gaby down. "Chris, I have to go to the office for a while. Will you be okay here?"
"Yes." She said as he nodded and walked out of the apartment. She stood there speechless. After what almost happened in the room, he just walked away like that. She noticed that Gaby was just staring at her. She ran to her room and grabbed her phone. She texted Sebastean and David. "One of you want to take me out of here?"
In less than a minute, David had answered that he was on his way to pick her up. She quickly changed into jeans and a sweater and went to wait for him downstairs.
