Chris was released from the hospital. As they got to the house, Bryan carried her upstairs to their room and laid her down. "I'm so sorry." He said, kneeling next to her.
"I'm sure your intention was not to send me flying through the doors." She said trying to get comfortable in bed.
"I could've killed our baby."
"A baby we didn't know existed. What did Joey say about this?"
"He was not happy. He said I ruined your future and that I would pay."
"He's just overreacting. Now we just need to figure out a way to tell my dad. He's not going to be happy."
"Sorry, Bryan." Gabriella said entering the room. "There's someone here to see you, he says it's important. He's waiting in the study. I'll sit with Chris."
"Okay, I'll be right back." Bryan said, kissing her forehead and heading outside.
"Who is it? Did they give you a name?" Chris asked.
"No, he looked mad. He looked like Joe but older."
"Oh no. That's my father. Help me up, quick!"
As Bryan entered the study, he found himself staring into Roger Grecco's eyes. "Mr. Grecco! What a surprise." Bryan said, holding his hand up.
Mr. Grecco completely ignored it. "I'm sure you were expecting me. Why, son? We treated you as part of the family. We took you in when your dad threw you out."
"Mr. Grecco, I love your daughter. I can't explain how it happened, but I love her and she loves me. We weren't planning on having a kid right now, but it happened. You can be sure I'm going to take good care of her and our child."
"You can be sure of that. You two are getting married."
"Dad!" Chris said entering the room. "You can't force us to get married!"
"Either that or you're coming home with me and we will resolve this problem. I don't need people talking about my loose daughter."
"Sir, we are in the twentieth first century. Nobody cares about that stuff."
"You grew up in our same social circle, Bryan. You know how reputation is important in a family and how it can ruin us. So, you either get married now or you're coming home and having an abortion."
"Fine. We'll get married. We'll go by the courthouse tomorrow and get it done." Bryan said before Chris could say anything.
"Perfect. Here, Chris, your mother sent you her grandmother's engagement ring. She wanted you to have it." Roger said, putting the ring on Chris' finger. He kissed her forehead and walked towards the door. "I'll see you guys tomorrow. We'll have a little family and friends get together to celebrate the marriage."
"Are you serious?" Chris said as Roger left.
"It's the right and responsible thing to do, honey. He's right; your family's reputation could be ruined."
"You don't want this. My father is forcing you. This could make you eventually hate me."
"I admit, my plans were not to get married yet, but never think I would hate you." He said, grabbing her face. "I would always love you, and now we have someone else to think of." He said rubbing her belly. "Now go back to bed, you shouldn't be walking around. I'll have everything ready for tomorrow."
The next evening, Gabriella is helping Chris into her dress. "I can't believe you convinced me to wear white." Chris said, looking at her reflection in the mirror. "I'm anything but pure."
"Chris, you should be happy. You're marrying the man you love and he loves you." Gabriella said as she started weaving flowers into Chris' curled hair.
"It just feels forced. I don't want him to regret it in the future."
"Chris, he adores you. You guys are having a child together. He'll never regret it. Now, let's go."
Gabriella helped Chris down the stairs where her father waited. He walked her down the path towards the pool where Bryan waited with the officiant. The wedding went by perfectly. Everyone enjoyed it. After everyone left, Bryan and Chris sat at the dining table holding hands. "We did it, honey. We're married." Bryan said. The doorbell rang as Maria ran to answer it. A minute later a tall man walked into the dining room. He looked at Bryan and casually walked past him and sat next to Chris.
"Mr. Blakenship. What a surprise." Chris said.
"Well, I didn't receive an invitation to the wedding. It probably got lost in the mail."
"Father, you weren't invited. It was a last minute thing. What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to see the happy couple and my new daughter in law." He said, stroking her cheek.
"Take your hands off her, father."
"Look, Bryan, more respect for your father. I came to ask for forgiveness. I'm a changed man. Now, you know where to find me. I'll let you kids enjoy your wedding night." He said standing up and leaving.
"Can you believe him? I'm sorry you had to witness that." Bryan said, kissing her. "I'm going to check my messages in the study. Why don't you go ahead and wait for me in bed?"
"Okay, don't be too long."
She started walking towards the stairs when she was pulled into the dark living room and a hand covered her mouth. It was Bryan's dad. He started kissing her neck while tears rolled down her face. His free hand lifted her dress and touched her most private area. "Oh, sweetie, you're so wet. I can show you what a real man is. Just leave Bryan and come with me. You'll have everything you ever wanted." She slapped him and started pushing him away. He slapped her back as she slumped to the floor and left the house as Bryan came out of the study. As he walked past the living room he heard Chris weeping, and saw her slumped on the floor.
"Chris, what happened?"
"Your dad was waiting in the dark. He touched me, he left already."
Bryan ran out the door and tried to run after his father's car when a car came out of nowhere and ran him over.
