Chapter 23

Bryan knocked on his father's door. The door swung open and an arm pulled him in, leaving the two cops behind. "I knew that shit wouldn't stay quiet, father." Andrew said as he held a gun to Bryan's temple.

"So, it's true? You are Andrew's father?"

"Yes, he's your brother." Mr. Blackenship said.

"Where's Chris?"

"You just missed her. She's mine now. She gave herself to me in exchange for your son and your maid."

"Father, where is she? Let me speak with her."

"Fine, Chris, could you join us, please?"

Chris came down the stairs without looking at Bryan. "Yes, sir?" She asked.

"Can you tell Bryan here what you have chosen?"

"I'm staying here, Bryan; with your father."

Bryan ran towards her and shook her. "Look at me, Chris! What has he done to you? You are safe with me my love. We have our son, Gaby is safe, come home with me."

"I've made my choice, Bryan. There's nothing you can say or do to make me change my mind."

"Look at me!"

"Go! Leave us alone." She said getting free and running up the stairs.

"Now, if you can leave, I really appreciate it. You have upset her. Now remember, she's mine now. So, goodbye."

Andrew pushed Bryan out the door as the police men entered. "Andrew Grecco, you're under arrest for the kidnapping of Alexander Blackenship and Gabriella Rivera."

"Father? Help me. Don't let them take me."

"Son, you have to pay for what you did. Take him, please, he's had me hostage in my own house."

As Bryan walked back into the house he collapsed. Joe ran towards him. "Black, what happened? Where's Chris?"

"She told me to go, that she's staying with my father. She wouldn't even look me in the eyes."

"He has to have something over her." Roger said.

"But what? We have Alexander back."

"He's threatening her with something." Joe said. "We just need to find out what."

"They arrested Andrew. You think he might know?" Bryan said.

"We don't lose anything by asking him." Joe said.

"I'll go." Bryan said, walking to the door.

"No, you're not." Joe said. "I'll go."

Joe walked into the police station and asked to speak to Andrew. Joe waited in a little room with a glass window. "Joey, how are you doing?" Andrew asked, walking into the room.

"Andrew. What is Mr. Blackenship holding against Chris?"

"That's all you want to know? You don't want to know how I am?"

"Andrew, let's cut the shit, okay? You don't care about us and your father apparently doesn't care about you. He gave you up to the police."

"He had his reasons, I'm sure."

"So, he's out there free while you're going to rot in here."

"He needed to escape, so he used me. I would do anything for him."

"Escape where? Where did he take Chris?"

"What is it about that brat? Why do you all care about her?"

"She's our sister, Andrew. Now, please tell me where he took her."

"Far away. And you can tell our brother he's going to miss his other baby."

"What?"

"That's right, she's pregnant. And my father will be the one raising that baby. So, now you know what he's holding over her. He can kill that baby anytime, even before it's born. So, now you know why she's so obedient to my father."
