CHAPTER 17

Ella came up smiled then started talking.

" All of my life I was a Christian, my parents were devoted servants of God. When I was fifteen, my parents had a business meeting to attend. I had a bad feeling about them leaving and I tried talking them out of going but they were very kin on going. They left and I kept on silently praying to God. Four hours later, they had not gotten back home. I was about to call them when my doorbell was rang. I opened the door to a red eyed Uncle of mine. He told me to get my siblings and follow him. When I tried to ask what was wrong, he went to his car so I followed me. He drove me to a hospital and that was when It dawned on me what was going on. I ran into the hospital and when my Uncle caught up with me, he asked for a room number and when we went into the room, I saw the bloody bodies of my parents lying lifeless. I couldn't believe my eyes. I felt like my world was taken away from me. I got angry at God. I felt like he let one of his most devoted servants die for no reason. It was a waste of anger but I didn't know then. I threw away my Bible. I didn't go to church anymore, I stopped praying and I lived a careless life. Drinking, smoking and other things. I lived with my aunt so I really didn't have to hide the fact that I did not believe in God. One night my aunt forced me to go for Worship Fiesta. When I went a play was acted by a group of people. The girl's parents died and I laughed at how Ironic it was. She continued going to Church and not once lost Faith In God. Some one asked her why she still had Faith in God and she said "God never allows an event without a reason. He has a plan and to prove that he is in Control He has to put us in situations we can't control" I cried that day and went back to God. My last words for you as I leave are 'To show that He is In control, God has to put us in situations we can't control'" She went back to her sit.

Cole came up then said " Thank you for sharing this with us, we really apprecite it. God has never had something against non- believers. He loves eversingle one of us unconditionaly and all he wants is for you to come back to him so if there is any of you who would like to go back to you maker, you want acknowledge that he is your saviour and he died for you please come out I would like to pray for you." Immediately two people came to the middle and I myself came to the middle of the field and we all knelt down.Cole waited for a few people who were making their way out. When they got out, Cole said " Lord we thank you for your children, we thank you that they accept you as their lord and saviour, that you died on the cross for them. We ask that you guide them in your ways and protect them. Amen" Everyone started clapping and screaming. We stood up and Cole said "Please meet Ella to register with her we would like to follow upon you. Congratulations on this amazing new step in your life I promise you won't regret it." We all went to Ella and immediately I got to her, she pulled me into a bone crushing hug and whispered into my ear "I am really happy for you" I thanked her and gave her my details. Then went backto sit.

Soon after, Ella cam up to start worship while Cole played the guitar.

Worshiping, Sitting round a fire with my friends. The sounds the fire made just made it feel like home. I knew it was giving my life to Christ was something I wouldn't regret.
