Happily Ever After

CHAPTER 18

After the worship session, We prayed and everyone started heading back to their assigned rooms. The twins were staying behind to clear up and Ella had a lot of people that wanted to talk to her so Cole and I decided we'd walk back together.

"I'm really happy for you Vick. I knew signing you up for this trip was going to be a good thing"

"Thanks, I'm glad I came too"

We fell into a comfortable silence but it was interrupted with Cole's phone ringing. He told me he'd be back in a minute and left towards a direction unknown to me. I stood and waited while humming the tune to Oceans.

Fifteen minutes later, Cole wasn't back and I was starting to get worried. I decided to wait for a few minutes to see if he would come back before I went in search for him. Five minutes later, he still wasn't back and I decided to go towards the direction he went.

I put on my phone flashlight and walked and it felt like as I walked further, it became darker. Not too long after my phone died. 

Just great

After a few minutes of walking, I had a really bad feeling so I decided to turn back and wait but just as I turned to make my way back, I saw David coming out of the shadows with a devilish smirk. I knew it wasn't good so I started backing away. He followed suit and said

"Hey Vick, What are you doing outside here by this time. Don't you know the things that happen around here by now?" Dear God.

I knew I had run so I turned and tried to be fast but he was faster and he held my hand and pulled me back to his chest then whispered in my ear " I told you you'd regret your decision"

He started rubbing my body and carresing my cheek. I tried my best to wiggle out of his grip but he was just so strong. Even if I tried to scream, it would have been muffled by his hand covering my mouth.

God please not again. Please don't let this happen .

I was praying silently that something would happen. Anything. But my hope kept on getting crushed every second where he was able to push me to the floor . Tears started welling up in my eyes. I didn't want this to happen again. I tried to struggle but it only led to David hitting my head on the ground making me feel dizzy. I continued to struggle but he kept on hitting my head on the ground. Black dots clouded my vision and the last thing I heard before I went unconscious was someone shouting.

" I wish I hadn't left you in the first place. I thank God I got there before anything happened."

I opened my eyes to Cole pacing his room. He rushed to me immediately he saw that I had woken up and handed me a glass of water. I thanked him then drank the water. I was trying to remember what happened the night before and how I got into Cole's room then it came rushing back to me.

Cole. Alone. David. Almost rape.

The glass dropped from my hand but thankfully Cole was fast enough to catch it before it reached the floor. I started crying.

"Why is it always me. It might have happened again. Why me?"

Cole rubbed the back of my hand trying to sooth me and it was working pretty well. He started rubbing my back and not long after Ella and the twins bust into Cole's room rushing to me. Ella engulfed me in a big hug.

" Thank goodness you're okay. We heard what happened but it was too late to come to find you yesterday night so we had to wait till this morning. I'm so sorry I wasn't there with you."

" Its fine. I'm fine. I just need aspirin for this stupid headache"

I was handling this better than even I myself expected. well it's probable because I was not raped.

"Thanks for knocking guys, I really appreciate your respect for my privacy" It was then they finally acknowledged Cole presence in the room.

" Oh shut it, we came for her not you now go get the aspirin you fish"

" OKAY guys. I just need aspirin and some rest. Before you start world war 3"

They all shuffled while Victory and Victor came to hug me."
