MATT POV

I follow Emma deep into the woods. Let's hope this isn't a trap, because we've been walking for a long time...

"Emma!" I yell, making her stop. "Turn around..."

It's been a while since we've last seen each other.

Emma turns around, letting me study her. Was she always this pale? Her clothes have blood on them... wow. She's not that kind girl anymore.

Emma smirks, then speaks. "Like what you see, Little Matt?"

I burn up. "WhAt?" My voice cracks.

Emma looses the smirk, and looks at me, dumbfounded. "Seriously?! Never mind." She crosses her arms.

I want to walk up to her, but she'll get defensive... I saw the knife on her leg, and the gun hiding in her jacket.

"OK." I start. "How about you TELL me what I did wrong?! You left with out a goodbye!"

We used to be friends. One time when she came over, she acting very strange. She kept talking about the future, me, stuff like that. I didn't understand why, though. Then she got mad and left... with out saying anything.

"Oh? I did? Sorry 'bout that." She says sarcastically.

"WHAT DID I DO TO YOU?!" I yell, making her freeze, and glare at me.

"Nothing. You did nothing."

Oh... she wanted me to do something... Goddammit!

We just stand there in silence until I speak up.

"So..." She glares at me, and I gulp before continuing. "You seem to really like Louie..."

She scoffs. "No, Ma-"

"Well," For some reason, my voice has a hint of jealousy. "sorry to break it to ya," I say violently, "But he has a girlfriend."

"MATT! Can you just list-"

I cut her off. "Her name is Athena-"

"I LIKE YOU!" She yells, redder than.. well, red.

Once she realizes what she said, she shakes her head. "Well, no. I did like you. But you were so caught up in your own thing to realize! I did everything to get you to notice. But you never did..."

We drown in some more silence.

Until...

"I did know, Emma..." I say, looking at my old friend. She looks back at me, and it hurts me that she's hurt. "I just didn't have the courage to say it back..." I say, getting a bit hot.

"Wait... what?" She whispers, and I give her a little smile.

"I liked you too." She smiles back, and we sit down on the ground, getting ready to deepen the conversation. "But... I didn't know because I was, well, young. You know how it was with my parents; they never said I love you, they never showed affection, so I didn't know how.

"And I'm sorry for hurting you so bad- What are you doing?" She crawls towards me, and I start backing away, until I back up into a tree.

She comes from in between my legs, and gets up close to my face. "So." She starts, and plays with my shirt. "You liked me, huh?" Her gray eyes meet my hazel ones. I gulp and nod, getting red and hot. What is she doing?!

She smirks. "Kiss me."

"WH- WHAT?!?!" I yell.

She rolls her eyes. "If you don't-" She looks at my lips, then back to my eyes. "-then I will." And presses her lips against mine, making me freeze.
