CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!!! Part 1

ATHENA POV

Christmas Eve at the Saberwings'.

Kind of awkward for me, Zehra, and Matt.

Violet had insisted that we stay with her until the renovations of McDuck Manor was complete.

Ty and Indy had a wonderful house. Two stories, and enough room for us girls to bunch together and the boys to stay in the room next door.

Violet was loving the extra roommates, but I can tell Lena wasn't.

"UGH! It's too stuffy in here - Vi I am gonna go find Webby and get some fresh air.

She hurried out of the small bedroom before Violet can protest.

Zehra looked at Violet apologetically.

"I'm sorry about all this-" She began, and I felt a knot form in the pit if my stomach.

Why was she apologizing?

I was the one who blew up McDuck Manor...

So I can smoke out the rest of the agents and Scrooge so I could kill them.

But Violet just smiled and waved off her apology.

"Don't be. I am the one who invited you all to stay. Consider this my Christmas present from you guys. Ty and Indy always wanted a big family around during the Holidays."

Zehra and I glanced at each other and I knew we were both thinking the same thing.

Christmas presents.

With everything that had gone on we didn't have time to get each other anything...

"O- Okay." Zehra said, turning back to Violet to avoid my guilty stare.

"I should probably go find Webby with Lena then." Violet said, "Webby is pretty sad about her Granny still missing." She informed us.

I grimaced as my stomach took another trip down guilty lane.

Violet gave us a sad smile before she left, leaving me alone with Zehra for the first time in over three months.

We had been avoiding each other since the day I shot the dead zombie Liam.

Our boyfriends distracting us the best they could so we don't end up fighting before the holidays.

But now...

Zehra cleared her throat and pulled out something from a nearby drawer. She walked back up to me shyly and held it out to me.

I stared at it.

Mom's diary.

I felt tears in my eyes as I looked down at it and took it gingerly from her hands.

"How did-?" I choked out, looking back up at her.

Zehra smiled sadly at me.

"I went back to S.H.U.S.H with Dewey and Matt to see if we can't find out more about Auntie Beakley, while you and Louie kept looking for Emma and well..." She hesitated and looked away.
If she did, then she saw what I did to those other S.H.U.S.H agents. To Theo and to...Her Mom.

"Zehra." I whisper. "I- I'm so sorry." I said, as a few tears fell down onto the book I was gripping tightly.

Zehra shakes her head.

"No. I' m sorry, Sissy. I should have protected you. Both you and Matt and not just one of you..." Zehra said.

"No. You had every right to choose Matt over me, and you made the right choice. If you had stayed with me at the time, I- I could have killed you." I said the last sentence in barely a whisper but Zehra heard and she quickly wrapped her arms around me.
