Chapter 9: Music

Hayley's pov
Phil was really nice. We stayed at his flat for about an hour. Then I started to get tired.
"Dad I'm tired!" I say.
"Nice to meet you tired, I'm Dad." he says.
I smirk. That was a horrible joke. I've gotta use that sometime.
"Can I go back home?" I asked.
"Yeah sure." Dan says and continues talking to Phil and Clary.
I went back to the flat. I got changed into my pjs, brushed my teeth, and went to bed.
I woke up with the sound of piano playing. I check my clock. It was 10:00! I then remembered it was Saturday. Phew. I got dressed and looked for the mysterious piano player. It was Dan. I walk into his room. Clary was there listening to him.
"You play piano?" I ask.
"Yep!" he says.
He keeps playing. I realize the piano is way out of tune.
"Dan you need a new piano." Clary says.
"I agree." I say.
"I know...." he says.
"Can I play?" I ask.
"Sure do you know how?" he asks.
I sit in the bench and start playing a song from the ballet Swan Lake. When I finish Clary and Dan stare at me with their mouths hanging open.
"Careful you'll catch flies!" I say.
"When did you learn how to play?" Clary asks.
"When I was eight." I say.
"You're really good!" Dan says.
"Thanks dad!" I say.
Then Luke comes running into the room.
"Hellooooo." he says.
I pick him up.
"Heyo Luke!" I say. I carry him out of the room and go play with him.
Clary's pov
Hayley's so good at piano. When she leaves I stare at Dan, who was staring at the piano.
"There's so many more things I need to learn about her...." he says.
"I know...I didn't even know she played!" I say.
"She's just filled with secrets isn't she?" Dan says.
"Yeah. Good thing this one was about music."

I know I know it's a bad chapter, okay? But oh well! The next couple chapters will be better! Anyway guys I have problem...I'm obsessed with buying books. Literally today I walked out of BAM (Books-A-Million) with 5 books. I never get 5 books at once! Normally it's one or two but never five! This is what I get for watching BookTubers.
