I was still being dragged away, despite the silent protest. Then the boy stopped at a table full of people. Ive found Paris. The boy said. Diego, how many times do we have to tell you? you cant bring every girl named Paris here. A man said walking towards us. However, this one looks a lot like Delilah. The man said looking at me. My head whipped around at my mothers name. Paris! There you are. I found you. William said walking towards me. I yanked my hand out of the boys and walked over to him. I buried my face on his chest and he wrapped his arms around me protectively. Im sorry for my nephew. He has the nasty habit of dragging every girl named Paris with him. the man said. Why? William asked. Because were trying to find a lost member of our family. We found out that my sister Delilah Morgan had a daughter. Her name as you can guess is Paris Morgan and ever since my nephew heard that he dragged every girl with the name Paris here. The man said. I froze and tensed up. Is something wrong with her? she looks very uncomfortable all of a sudden. The man said gesturing to me. William looked at me and I could see the worry in his eyes. Thats my mother. I mouthed. All colour left his face and his arms tightened around me. I still have a family left. Im not the only one. I signed to him. he smiled. he leaned his head to next to my ear. I can tell them if you want. William said. I nodded. What is it? the man asked. Well, youve found the lost member of your family. William said. the mans eyes widened. Youre Paris Morgan? the man asked. I nodded. Yes, I am. Morgan is my fathers last name. I signed. Is she deaf? Diego asked. No, shes mute. William said. And she is right here. I signed. One woman laughed and I looked at her confused. My husband is deaf. I also have been a translator for very long time. thats why I understand sign language. She said. I looked back at William but his face turned into one of pain. I put my hand on his cheek and made him look at me. He seemed to understand what I tried to say. Its probably nothing, I just stepped on something. William said. I looked at his feet and my eyes widened. Why the hell would you go barefoot? I signed. We were on a beach. I didnt have time to put on my shoes. I had to stay close to you. if I wouldve lost you because I had to put my shoes on, Id rather have both my feet chopped off. He said. everyone awwd while I just looked around. I found what I was looking for. I dragged William with me. We reached a crate and I made him sit down on it. when I lifted his feet and began to get angry. Are you happy? Theres a huge piece of glass in your foot. I signed. Sorry for trying to save you? he said unsure. I leaned up and gave him a quick peck on the lips. Then I examined the glass further. Im going to have to pull it out. I signed. Just do it. he said. I embraced myself because I knew I was going to hurt William. I grabbed the piece of glass and yanked it out in one smooth movement. William tried to hide it but I could see he was hurting. I moved up and gave him another quick peck. Then I looked at the wound. Here. For the wound. Someone said handing me a first aid package. Then that person handed me a small bucket of water. I poured it over his foot to clean it out and then disinfected it with ointment and bandaged it. then I put his shoes back on and he stood up. We should get back. I signed. He nodded. Here is my number so you can reach me. The man said. I nodded as a way to thank him. then William and I walked back. What a strange day. William said. I laughed. When we got back we explained what happened and then sat down on the couch. I sat down on Williams lap and hugged him. he wrapped his arms around me and I sighed. I love you. he said. I pulled back and smiled at him. I love you too. I signed. He pulled me back and like that we stayed.
