chapter 17

word count: 4860 (holy shit I'm sorry that I wrote such a big one I should've splitted it into two halves. I just had so much fun writing this chapter that I didn't want to stop especially since I know what's coming next. i will try to keep it shorter next time so you don't have to read this much. i'm also sorry that I have such a long author's note, but I just wanted to say these things. so while i'm on it thank you for reading this story it means more to me than any of you could imagine. if you have any ideas or questions about the story don't be afraid to ask i will always consider your opinion and might even change the story a bit so I can have your input in it) with this A/N I reached 5000)

that was the best night sleep I have had in a very long time. no nightmares, no unwanted memories and no panic attacks. it wasn't a surprise that I woke up energetic and happy. so when I came down I hugged Shelby who was surprised but immediately hugged me back and mark opened his arms as well. ''and I don't get a hug?'' he said fake hurt. I laughed and hugged him as well. I walked to the dining table and decided to take a good look at the photos. I saw one where Dolan was holding Gaby up and they were laughing hysterically. I suddenly had an idea and grabbed the photograph. I ran to mark and Shelby in the kitchen and pointed at the picture, they immediately got it. ''you want to go to the beach?'' mark asked. I nodded my head. ''sure.'' he said doubtingly. I then ran up the stairs to wake everybody and invite them. unfortunately I was a little to enthousiastic and tripped and fell. that is at least if William hadn't caught me. he pulled me up and made sure I was stable. ''where are you going so fast?'' he asked chuckling at how I was so happy I could barely stand still. I took the picture and pointed. ''the beach?'' he said surprised. I nodded my head. ''oh okay I'll better get home then so you can go.'' he said with a hint of sadness in his voice. I shook my head. ''not? then what am I going to do, oh'' I dawned upon him. ''you want me to come with you don't you?'' he said. I nodded my head. ''okay i'll ask my parents.'' I smiled at him. and went to the next door, but thought why do it one at the time when you could do it all at once. so I went to all the doors knocking multiple times. I heard several groans coming out all of the rooms. they opened their door all at the same time and looked at me. ''WHAT?!'' they all said in unison. I pointed at the picture. ''yes that's a picture paris very good now go back to sleep.'' dolan said. my face turned sad. i heard someone chuckle behind me. and turned to see William behind me in the hallway. ''she wants to go to the beach.'' he explained for me. i nodded my head vigorously to show that, that was it. ''oh fun i'm gonna get my stuff.'' Gaby said. lilly nodded in agreement and went in as well. ''well okay since everyone is coming, wait Will you coming too?'' he suddenly asked William. ''yeah I just asked it's fine.'' I threw my hands up in the air and jumped around. ''whoa whoa whoa paris calm down. I didn't say I was coming yet.'' Dolan said with a smirk. stopped jumping and turned to him. I looked at him with my best plead face and pouted. ''ah fine i'll come but only because Will is coming too.'' I continued my happy jumping and Dolan laughed at me. I got my stuff as well and made myself ready. I got out in my bikini with a cardigan covering it all up. I let my hair loose so it would dry easier after swimming and of course to look cuter on pictures. I was getting some of the trades form Gaby but I didn't care. she had been a lot nicer to me lately and it made me feel more at home. we all drove together to the beach.(Mark has a very big car) and went onto the beach. I took off my slippers and put my feet in the warm sand. I sighed. I hadn't been to a beach in at least four years, not since the accident and even before that. then I remembered my idea and I waved for the others to come over. ''what is it?'' Lily asked. I took out my phone and showed the picture i showed them this morning. ''is that seriously a picture of a picture?'' William said while laughing. i punched him on the shoulder. ''hey!'' he said which made me smirk. i then opened my notepad and showed them what i wanted to do. ''oh that's why you wanted to come to the beach didn't you?'' Gaby said. i nodded my head and pointed to a nice spot. they followed me and there we were. ''so what do you want us to do further, you want us to recreate the photo. that's all?'' Dolan said. and right when he said that another idea popped into my head. i quickly wrote it down on my notepad. yes first Dolan and Gaby recreate that old photo and then when that's done Lily will come too, and you'll have a photo of how the Rose family kids looks like today. i showed them and they all liked the idea even William who wasn't even part of the plan. Gaby and Dolan went to the spot and Gaby jumped on Dolans back. ''whoa are you trying to kill me. a warning would be nice next time.'' Dolan grumbled which made us all laugh except for Dolan. now i had to figure out a way to make them both laugh spontaneously and hysterically. i frowned. ''what is it Paris?'' Gaby asked when she saw my frown. William looked over my shoulder at my notes. ''it says here that you need to laugh but she wants it just like the picture. so not fake but spontaneously and hysterically.'' William read my notes to them. more like screamed actually, and he also did it next to my ear. i looked at him annoyed and hit him. he was caught off guard and lost his balance. everybody laughed except for him of course. then it hit me everybody was laughing. i quickly turned and took a picture of Gaby and Dolan both laughing hysterically. ''wait Paris did you take the picture?'' lily asked when we were all calm again. i nodded my head proudly and showed her. ''hey wait we want to see too." Dolan yelled. he ran to us with Gaby still on his back who was loudly screaming because she almost fell off. they reached us and showed them the picture. ''that's awesome.'' he said and Gaby nodded. ''okay so now with Lil.'' Gaby asked and i nodded. ''wait is she going to be''- he didn't have time to finish his sentence because Lily already took a sprint yelling: ''Warning, INCOMINGGG!!!!'' and with that she jumped as high as she could right on top of Gaby. Gaby laughed and said: ''we did it.'' ''yeah that's easy for you to say. you're not holding everybody.'' Dolan grumbled from the bottom. ''oh come on we're not that heavy you big baby.'' Lily said to Dolan. Dolan then got his signature smirk on his face which meant he was up to something. he then pretended to drop the girls. they both screamed and Gaby made a very weird squeal which made us all laugh and Gaby turn red. ''what the hack was that geebeedee beedee beedee beedee?'' Lily asked Gaby. ''geebeedee bee what?'' William asked. they all looked at eachother which earned me another pretty picture and then simultaneously screamed: ''GEEBEEDEE BEEDEE BEEDEE BEEDEE!!!!!!!!!'' and then they all started laughing giving me exactly what i needed again. i smiled to myself. ''what is it?'' William asked who now was standing behind me. i showed him the picture. ''perfect.'' he said. then i was suddenly snapped out of my bubble when i heard a camera click, and it wasn't mine. i looked up and saw Gaby with her phone pointed to us. ''so cute.'' she said while looking at the photo. she showed it to Dolan and Lily who thought the same way. i just stood there frozen while i felt my face turn red. ''don't you two think it's time to get off my back?'' Dolan said. ''nope.'' Gaby immediately said. she looked up again, looked at me and i saw that she had gotten an idea. ''we have one final picture to make.'' she then said. ''another person on my back i'm strong but i'm no bodybuilder. i can't hold that.'' Dolan exclaimed. Gaby looked around and i saw that a stack of rocks catched her eyes. Lily jumped off and Gaby did as well and Dolan collapsed in the sand. i laughed at him. he immediately looked up at me. ''did you just laugh at me?'' he said with his signature smirk and I knew I was in trouble. I slowly started walking backwards. then Dolan jumped up and I started walking faster. ''Will hold her.'' Dolan yelled I was confused for a second and then felt two arms grab me by my shoulders form behind and I knew it was William. I tried to wriggle out of his grip but he was to strong. Dolan soon reached us and I started to struggle harder. ''thanks bro.'' he said. ''no problem.'' William answered. William then leaned closer to my so his face was next to my ear. ''this is for hitting me.'' he said and he pushed me right into Dolans arms. I looked up and smiled a little scared at Dolan. ''you should not have laughed at me.'' he said. then he suddenly grabbed me by the legs and threw me over his shoulder. I laughed. ''there is something seriously wrong with you, you know that. most girls would scream there lungs out and all you do is laugh.'' Dolan said which only made me laugh harder. I felt that he wasn't holding me very tight so I used that. I swung my leg up and pushed myself up so I was fully on his shoulders. he didn't expect it but still held me up. ''DOLAN, PARIS!!'' Gaby suddenly yelled standing by the rocks with Lily. Dolan ran with me on his shoulders and I held on tight. Gaby laughed at the sight of us. ''what did you do Paris. I saw him throw you up over his shoulder. did you laugh at him?'' i shrugged and mouthed maybe. she laughed came closer and gave a high five. ''now come down from there and use your mad gymnastic skills.'' she said still laughing. ''i'm sorry her what now?'' Dolan said and Lily looked confused as well. i made Gaby as clear as i could that Dolan had to stand still for this. ''okay Dolan stand still okay?'' she said understanding what i had tried to make clear. i put my feet on his shoulders and my hands on his head to stabilize myself. when i felt stable i stood up fully and made myself ready. i then jumped off forward doing a salto and landing on my feet. i then turned to see Dolan looking at me with shock and his jaw on the ground. ''what else can you do?'' Lily asked curiously. i just wanted to show but Gaby stopped me. ''take that cardigan off it looks cooler without it and you must be boiling in that thing it's super hot.'' i took my cardigan off and gestured that i had to stretch first. i walked to a low lying rock and put on leg on it. i then let my back foot slide backwards till i was in a over split. (if you don't know what that is search it on the internet and then on images it's not hard to find ;) ''wow'' Dolan said. i switched legs and stood up again. ''just out of curiosity can you put your legs up next to your head without a rock?'' i nodded my head and lifted my leg up without my hands. ''wow'' i then did the other leg and then i slid down into a middle split. ''Paris i have an idea. can you stand on that rock and do a pose?'' gaby said. i got up and nodded. i walked to the rock she pointed at and looked at it. how the heck was i going to get on this rock it's huge. ''Need help?'' William said. i nodded my head and he lifted me up so i could climb on it. i had taught everyone in the foster family some basic sign language so i singed thank you. knowing that the others would translate. ''it means thank you in sing language.'' Lily said to William. he looked back up at me and said: ''you're welcome.'' i smiled at him. i then stood up on the rock and went into pose. i chose the scorpion because i thought it looked cool. (scorpion pose in photo above) Gaby shot a few more pictures and one with my phone so i would have it on my phone immediately. ''you know we haven't made a picture with all of the Rose family kids.'' She said while looking at the pictures i made. i got out of my pose and looked at her questionably. ''YOU, you gymnastic smart ass. you are not in the picture and you are part of the family too.'' i smiled at her. we sat on the rock in the right order. from oldest to youngest with the youngest Lily in the back and the oldest Dolan in the front. so we sat in the order: Dolan, Gaby, me and then Lily. we smiled and William took the picture and then we did some weird poses. after that Lily jumped of off the rock and Gaby just slid off because she was close to the ground, but i was on a point that i could do neither. then William appeared and once again asked with that charming smile of his. ''Need help?'' i nodded my head relieved. i sat down carefully and put my hands on his shoulders while he put his on my waist. he gently lifted me up and carefully set me down on the sand. i looked up with my arms now resting on his shoulders and his still on my waist and we stayed like that for a while. we were interrupted by again the sound of a camera clicking, but now it wasn't Gaby it was Dolan. William looked up at him still not letting me go and said to him: ''oh no you didn't.'' he then chased after a loud laughing Dolan letting me go. I watched the boys for a while chasing after each other and rolling over the ground wrestling. ''he's cute isn't he?'' Gaby said startling me because she had very silently come to stand next to me. I didn't really know how to answer the question, since he was her boyfriend. she must've read the confused and thinking expression of my face that was really trying to find the right answer. she laughed. ''it's fine Paris we broke up. we're just friends now.'' she said calm and cool. I looked at her surprised also because she was so cool about it. ''we jut didn't like each other that way anymore.'' I nodded understandingly. ''and now let's go swimming. I didn't put on my bikini for nothing.'' and so Gaby, Lily and I ran to the sea, but when we were close, but as soon as we were close we stopped abruptly. we each carefully stuck one foot in the water and as soon as it hit the water retracted it again. it was kind of cold. then out of nowhere Lily was picked up by Dolan and Gaby by William. you could see the drops of water falling off of them so they had already been in the water while we weren't looking. they ran into the sea with two screaming girls in their arms when they were in a bit they both dropped the girls and high fived each other. the girls came up again and scolded the boys while splashing water at them. when the girls had calmed down a bit William and Dolan turned to me. ''are you coming Paris?'' Dolan said with a smirk. ''or do we need to come and get you?'' William added on. i shook my head. ''let me guess you want to do some kind of flip into the water?'' Gaby said when she saw my thinking expression. i nodded my head relieved that i didn't have to find a way to show them that. William walked out of the water and let me sit on his shoulders. he walked back into the water and now went a little deeper on my command so i was sure i wasn't gonna hit any rocks. ''are you ready paris?'' i nodded my head and i climbed up and stood on his shoulders smiled to myself and jumped. i made a salto and then did a perfect dive into the water. when i came up i did one of those famous hair flips. ''jeez is there something you can't do Paris?'' Dolan said. i pretended to think and then shook my head which made everybody laugh. i then signaled to the others that I needed to dry my hair a bit. I walked to the beach and did a couple of cartwheels. ''wait Paris do that again.'' Gaby said who came out of the water as well with her phone ready. I held my hand up to show I had an idea. I gestured that I was also capable of doing one without hands, which is called a side aerial. I did one as an example and Gaby suggested I did that one. she made some pictures and then I decided I wanted some fun ones. so I did a side aerial with my tongue out and my hands in rock 'n roll pose. Gaby made a picture on the perfect moment of me upside down and my tongue out. I then got my phone and made a picture of Gaby who was making a picture of me doing a side aerial. so now I had a picture of Gaby upside down. ''show off.'' Dolan said. I put my phone away and walked back into the water where he was still standing. I went to stand next to him and took a fighting stance like a boxer. (Paris has had kick box lessons since she was three..... just kidding that would be a bit to much haha. she does however have another secret talent that even she hasn't discovered yet ;) ''oh are we going to have a water wrestling contest.'' Lily said enthusiastically. ''okay William and Paris against the twins.'' she declared. we were all in for a little game so we accepted. ''take your places.'' she said. I climbed on Williams neck and Gaby climbed on Dolans. bring it on I gestured to Gaby. ''oh you are so gonna get it now.'' she answered to my gesture. ''okay I want a nice and fair game, everybody ready.'' we all nodded. ''game on.'' and with that we began to wrestle, or at least we tried to. I was mostly wrestling with Gaby and the boys with each other. it was very hard for Gaby and me to keep fighting with each other when the boys were fighting so much more fanatic. we both almost fell off but we managed. then i almost fell off again and i was quite done with it. i tapped on Gaby's shoulder and gestured i had an idea. she seemed to get my idea so we went for it. i counted on my fingers from three to one and on one we both jumped of off the shoulders. when we stood on the ground again we began to splash the boys with all our might. ''you traitors.'' we stopped then and ran away from them, but running in water is very hard apparently so we weren't going very fast. that was the only flaw in my plan. ''get back here!'' the boys yelled and they started the chase. they were soon catching up to us. Gaby just gave up running letting Dolan catch her. ''bad condition sis.'' he said laughing when Gaby was leaning on him trying to catch her breath. well not me i tried even harder to get away. i didn't look back and pushed all my strength in my legs. nevertheless it wasn't enough i soon felt two strong arms wrapping around me. i tried to get out of his grip which only made him hold me tighter. ''you don't give up easily don't you?'' William said in an amused voice. i didn't answer i just kept on struggling. ''okay that's enough.'' he said. i had no idea what he meant and then he changed his position and he was holding me in such a way that i couldn't possibly escape so I stopped struggling. ''yeah you done?'' he said. I turned and looked at him while rolling my eyes. when I looked up I saw that we were only inches apart. a loud scream brought me out of my trance. ''HELP!! PARIS HELP ME!!!'' I heard Gaby scream. I looked to the beach and saw a soaked Gaby held by Dolan who was about to roll Gaby in the sand so she would be covered by it. I laughed and took advantage of the situation to get out of the grip he was holding me in. I ran to the beach and just when Dolan was going to roll Gaby in the sand I slid under them which made Gaby land on my instead of sand. ''Paris! oh Paris I didn't think you would make it. thank you, you saved my life.'' she said Dolan let go of Gaby confused of what just happened. we both took advantage of the situation and ran away. we ran to the rocks and climbed on them. when we were up there Gaby used her foot to push away a rock that gave easy access to the top. the boys couldn't come up the top now. while we had another rock that would bring us down and at the same time kept them down. she then looked at me. ''oh no Paris now you are covered in sand.'' I shrugged and shook my head so the sand would come out, since my hair had ried pretty fast. Lily who had been with her parents since the start of the wrestle came to the rocks. ''what are you doing up there?'' she asked. ''they're staying out of reach from us.'' Dolan said. Gaby and I didn't have much time alone most of the time o I took advantage of the situation by trying to figure out why her demeanor towards me had changed. ''you want to know what changed don't you?'' I was astonished how she could estimate so well what I was going to say. ''Dolan told me everything.'' she said which confused me. everything of what. ''he told me what happened that night. he read your fathers statement that was made before he disappeared and the things that happened to you in the hospital.'' I was amazed. ''i'm sorry Paris I misjudged you I was afraid you would take my place and take Dolan away from me.'' I tapped on her shoulder and she turned to me. I opened up my arms and we shared a hug, but something didn't feel right. I replayed the conversation in my head until I found it. my fathers statement. I have never read it. I didn't even know it existed. I decided I would ask Shelby and Mark about that later. ''ah hah I know how to get you down here.'' Dolan suddenly said. Gaby and I looked at each other and were very curious of what he had come up with. ''I just got to take advantage of the girl code you have, and take a hostage.'' he then grabbed Lily. we looked at each other and knew that Dolan was right he was going to get us down with this. we went to the rock that we knew would get us down and Gaby went down. however when Gaby went down the rock broke. it apparently was an older rock than we anticipated. I had no idea how I was going to get down now. ''oh i'm so sorry Paris.'' Gaby said as soon as she saw the rock. I decided it could still work as a way to get me down so I tried. keyword: tried. as soon as I stood on it the piece where I was standing on broke to, but not all the way. my foot slipped and went in between the two halves. I tried to get it out but that made me scream. the boys immediately came around the rock to see what was going on. ''Paris!'' Dolan said. ''oh no.'' William said. he ran away and I found him a coward when Dolan tried to help me stand up he just ran. Dolan then after a few tries gave up because it was too painful. William then came back and I saw that he had brought Shelby and Mark who had been sitting in the sand all day relaxing. ''oh my.'' Shelby said when she saw me. ''thought maybe because you're taller you could help her. we aren't tall enough to reach her fully.'' William said to Mark. he nodded and went to stand by my side. he could reach me and I leaned to him but my foot still was stuck. a lifeguard who had been doing his walk around the beach saw us all huddled together came to us. ''everything okay here? oh wow.'' he said when he saw me. ''are you stuck?'' he asked and I nodded. he came over and climbed on a very high rock with ease so he could see the situation from above. he then lied down on the rock he was standing on. ''oh you're really stuck.'' he said when looking. ''it's gonna hurt to get it out.'' just do it I thought. ''are you ready?'' he asked and I nodded. then he started to pull on my foot. it hurt so and I thought they were going to pull it off. then something popped and at the same time my foot came out. i sighed happy that it was finally out. Mark lifted me down from the rock and set me on the sand. he let me go thinking i was stable but when i set my foot down i felt like it was on fire so i lifted it again making me lose my balance. William caught me before i faceplanted with the sand. ''you should probably get your foot checked.'' the lifeguard said. we thanked him and he went on. ''okay Paris let's go and see the doctor.'' i shook my head. ''what why we need to get your foot checked out.'' William said worried and i shook my head again. i pointed at the sky and made a twinkling movement with my fingers. the others looked at me confused. ''she wants to stay to see the stars.'' Dolan said getting what i was trying to make clear. i nodded my head. they knew not to mess with me when i wanted something so we stayed. we ate some fish and chips from a stand nearby and then we went to the beach again. we took our towels and sat on them. Dolan, Gaby and Lily decided they wanted to go swimming again (never do that btw you have to wait an hour before you go swimming after you ate.) William went as well but later came back. he held out his hand to me. i gestured to my foot that i couldn't go swimming. ''it's not that i promise.'' he said with a sincere smile i took his hand and he helped me up. he held my waist while i clumsily stumbled. ''yeah no that's not gonna happen.'' he then said and he lifted me up bridal style. i didn't expect it so i squealed. he chuckled as a response. he then apparently had reached the intended spot because he set me down. still holding onto my waist so I was supported and stable enough to stand. ''the view is way better from here.'' he explained. that did clear up why he took me here. I looked at him and smiled. I then looked up and saw the first stars appearing. I laid my head on his shoulder and looked at the stars appearing just above the sea. I then saw a shooing star and made a wish. I wish that someone can put me back together again. and with that the night pretty much came for me I became tired and William noticed I couldn't stand anymore so we sat down. my eyes began to close but I didn't want to. William noticed and guided my head to his shoulder and there I fell asleep with his hand still around my waist and my head on his shoulder. unknowing that Gaby had been taking pictures of us all day long....
