I tried to not think about her but I could not, not think about her. I wasn't really paying attention about what was said at breakfast the next morning. thankfully my family just let me be and went on with their heated argument about pineapple on a pizza. I packed my lunch and went to school. the day was exactly the same as yesterday. or at least it started the same way. the part that was missing to make it the same was Paris. she didn't come to school that day, and neither did lily. it was just before last period and Gaby was there so I took advantage of the opportunity by asking her where they were. ''oh yeah lily's not here. she's in the hospital. she didn't feel so well yesterday.'' I knew she was lying I saw lily yesterday and she was fine, the one that was not fine was Paris, because she literally passed out in my arms and a ambulance had to be called for her. ''I know you're lying to me Gaby.'' ''no i'm not how could- I cut her off midsentence. ''I was there when Paris got hit remember? I brought her to the infirmary. lily told the nurse there that Paris hadn't spoken a word since your family started fostering her. I know that Paris is in the hospital. so the only reason that lily is not here and you say that your family is in the hospital is if Paris still not okay. so how is Paris?'' I asked all in one breath. ''she hasn't woken up. there's nothing much to tell.'' she said shrugging like it wasn't important at all. ''Gaby are you saying that Paris is still unconscious?'' ''yes, the doctors say that she might slip into a coma.'' my heart felt like it stopped right that moment. '' her breathing isn't good enough yet she's hooked up to a lot of different machines, because she can't breath by herself.'' ''is there a change that she has a complete recovery?'' ''well the doctors said that there is a big chance that she never wakes up again.'' there was an unspeakable pain in my heart that I couldn't explain. I hardly even knew the girl. then I thought about Gaby and my rage boiled up. ''why the heck are you here Gaby?!'' I said in an awfully calm tone of which I knew would even freak her out more. ''wh-what do y-you m-me-mean?'' she asked in a tone that was meant to cover up her fright, which miserably failed. ''I mean what are you doing here when Paris could never wake up again." ''well William I didn't want to. they tried to force me to come with them but I didn't want to so I just didn't go.'' I couldn't believe my ears. ''how could I've been so foolish, you don't care for other human beings you only care about yourself. I don't want to see you right now, in fact I don't want to see you at all.'' and walked off letting Gaby standing there confused about what exactly happened. I went into class and I knew she wouldn't follow because she was never in last period. in the middle of the class the teacher was called and had me taken to another room. I was nervous as hell I never had been taken away from class. fortunately the news that I heard there was awesome, Paris woke up and was allowed to go home tomorrow if everything was good this night. they wanted to keep her tonight just for observation. to make sure everything was really okay. I was glad lily convinced her parents to call the school to tell me the good news. I secretly loved that girl. after school I went to Gaby's house, I was still really mad at her but we had a project together and I did not want to fail. I had asked if I could come tomorrow too to finish the project, she had a suspicion that I wasn't planning on working on the project but she didn't care. she just wanted me near her so she would look better. that's what I saw now, but I could not let her see that or I would not be able to go to her house and see Paris or get any information about her. the day then passed quickly Paris was playing on her phone and posting selfies about every single minute of her life. the flashing was really irritating me since I was trying to work. ''hey Gabs, can you stop taking pictures the flash is really bothering me.'' I could have asked to stop taking pictures with flash but I knew she wouldn't do that because she always said she looked better with flash and ugly without. ''oh of course Wills, i'll stop.'' and she did stop I sighed but I did to early because a second later I heard her talking. she stopped with making selfies and was now calling while I was still working on the dang project. thankfully it didn't take long to finish anymore since I worked really hard. that resulted in that I had no idea what to think about during dinner so my mind immediately wandered off to Paris. and when I locked out all the other sounds which means only gaby I realized how quiet it was. I had been to the house before but then it was always full of energy. but now since the family excluding Gaby was in the hospital with Paris everything was super quiet. after dinner I went home and went to bed. the next day I woke up very happily I convinced myself that it wasn't because of Paris but I couldn't possibly fool myself. school thankfully passed quickly that day and after school I almost ran to gaby's house. gaby almost couldn't keep up, but she didn't care as much. when we got near the house I already heard the noises I missed the other day and we walked in. I froze in the doorstep seeing the girl that had been haunting my thoughts the past couple of days. she looked terrible. she sat on the couch with a bucket on her lap and her skin was so pale it was almost see-threw. ''hi Paris how are you?'' when she heard my voice her head whipped around and looked at me with a confused expression. the confusion only lasted a few seconds because a few seconds later her head whipped back and she reached for the bucket. I acted on instinct and ran to her to hold her hair up. after a few minutes she was done and with shaky hands she got out her phone and typed thank you and handed it to me. I went to her side to take the phone and when she saw it was me she almost dropped the phone but I caught it in time. I took it and added my number in. I then gave it back to her. she smiled the biggest and cutest smile ever at me and even though she was sick she looked like a angled straight out of heaven. I knew I would never be able to get her out of my head again. but honestly I didn't care as much. I really didn't want her to leave my head ever again.
