chapter 25

*3rd person's POV*

Paris' breath evened out and her whole body relaxed. she slept all the way to the hospital and then William woke her up. the hospital bed with Paris on it was being pushed through the hospital. then suddenly another bed came rushing through. it bumped into Paris' bed and made her bed shake. Paris' eyes rolled back in her head and she fell back onto her pillow.

*Paris' POV*

something bumped against me and a pain take over in my chest. it was like something shifted inside my chest and i gasped. my eyes rolled back in my head and my head fell onto the pillow. i tried to fight off the darkness but i couldn't. soon i had given in and everything went black...

*Williams POV*

''What's happening?'' i asked. i was ignored while they now rolled Paris away at full speed. they rolled her into a hallway where i wasn't allowed to follow. i stayed behind in the waiting room while i called Shelby and the others. they came as soon as they could. we all stayed in the waiting room waiting very impatiently. then a doctor came in. ''Paris Morgan.'' the doctor said. all of us immediately stood up. ''Family?'' the doctor said. i sighed and sat back down. Gaby tried to pull me back up but i refused. ''It's fine. you can just tell me later.'' i said. she nodded her head and followed the doctor. they stayed away for two hours. then Lily came back out and walked over to me. ''She had a punctured long. they performed surgery on her and now she's resting. the doctors say that's she's going to be fine.'' she explained. i sighed and let myself fall back into the chair. ''You can come see her too if you want.'' Lily said. i stood back up immediately. we walked to Paris together. ''She's unconscious but it's still nice to see her.'' Lily said. i nodded and followed her into a room. Paris was laying on a bed with all kind of tubes in her mouth and nose, and IV's in her arms. ''Hey everyone.'' i said. ''Thank you so much for calling us.'' Shelby said hugging me. ''Your welcome. i would never keep anything this big from you. you're her family.'' i said. then everyone 'awwd' and hugged me.

Paris had been getting better and better every week. Gaby's, Lily's, Dolans and my finals were moved because of the situation. Lily had decided to stay a year behind because a lot had happened this year that made her lose focus a little. Dolan on the contrary was doing so good that they already had let him pass in the middle of the year. he had already started college and was continuing to do so after the break. then he would actually move in starting his second year. Paris, Gaby and i were on the edge of passing and only had to do our finals before we were allowed to go as well. it was all just waiting for Paris to wake up.

*Paris' POV*

i was surrounded by darkness but a small light was breaking through. i remembered Williams comment not to go into the light and smiled. sorry William. i have to try. i said to myself. then i went towards the light, and it became brighter and brighter. soon i had to close my eyes because of the brightness. i suddenly felt a weight on my chest and something blocking my mouth. i opened my eyes slowly and blinked a couple of times because of the bright light. i looked around and saw first of all tat there was a giant tube in my mouth. i looked around more and saw that everyone was asleep. how did they even get here? oh wait William must've called them. i tried to smiled but i couldn't. it felt wrong to have that tube in my mouth but i couldn't remove it myself. i used my hand to feel the wall behind me and searched for the right button. when i found one i pressed it. a second later a nurse came in. ''Ah miss, Morgan you're awake.'' she said. i pointed at the tube and she smiled. ''Oh yes of course. just wait one moment while i get the doctor okay?'' she said. i nodded and stared at the ceiling. about three minutes later the doctor came in and removed the tube from my mouth. he checked me up and then i went back to sleep. ''Could she be awake?'' i heard a voice say. ''Well she certainly isn't right now. she's out cold.'' another voice said. ''She means sleeping right?'' yet another voice weighed in. i slowly opened my eyes and came face to face with all of my newfound family members and William. i yelped and grabbed my heart. they scared the crap out of me. i looked at William and smiled. 'i'm sorry.' i signed to him. ''Sorry about what?'' he asked. i reached for the sign next to my bed and wrote: you told me not to go into the light. i did. i turned the sign around and let him read it. everyone laughed and i smiled. ''Is that when you woke up?'' Lily asked. i nodded. ''Well then it's fine. i meant another light.'' William said. is there another light? oh, i'll make sure i'll go to that one the next time. i wrote after i wiped out the old message. ''Let's just hope there won't be a next time. i'm kind of tired of all these hospitals.'' William said. what do you think about me? i wrote. everyone laughed and i smiled. it was nice hearing them laugh. it made me forget that i was in a hospital.

i healed pretty fast over the next couple of days. soon i was allowed to go home again. i stayed home for about a week and then i went to school to do my finals. now i was sitting in the living room watching tv with Gaby waiting for our results. the phone rang and Gaby and i looked at each other. i made a signal for her to pick up the phone. ''Why not you?'' she said. i rolled my eyes and pointed at my throat. ''Oh right.'' she said and then she picked up the phone. ''Yes, okay. yes. yes i'll pass the message. thank you.'' She said. she hung up and i looked at her expectantly. ''We both passed!'' she yelled. i smiled and together we jumped around. ''i assume you both passed?'' Dolan said walking into the room. i nodded. ''Congrats.'' he said smiling as well. he walked over to us and hugged us and lifted us both of the ground. ''Dolan we know you have been working out and stuff lately but that's not a reason to lift us every single time.'' Gaby said. i nodded and began to hit his arm. ''Okay, okay. i'll stop. ouch Paris i said i'd stop.'' He said putting us down. ''That wasn't Paris. that was me.'' Gaby said running away. ''Get back here.'' Dolan said chasing after her. i leaned back against the wall. this was one crazy family, and soon it was going to be my crazy family. Shelby had said that when i graduated high school i was going to be adopted by them. i was thrilled and really happy. i was finally going to be part of a family. then it hit me. i already had family. my dad was still out there. i was going to find him. one way or another...
