CHAPTER SIXTEEN

"What the heck Zuri are you crazy!?"

He was breathing heavily as of he was the one to come up from under the water.

"What are you talking about? I was just relaxing."

He looked at me as if I was really crazy.

"Relaxing!? I've been knocking on the door for the past five minutes and there was no response I thought something had happened to you and then I came in and you were like that. You almost gave me an heart attack."

"I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was under there for so long."

He leaned his body against the wall and continued breathing heavily.

"Baby I'm so sorry. I never meant to worry you or anything."

I got out of the tub and pulled him up against my naked body. He immediately hugged me and before I could say anything else he started to cry. I don't think I remember ever heard Theo cry before and my heart broke because it was because of me.

"I just feel like I haven't been doing my best to take care of you or to show you how much you mean to me. You think I don't want you or a future with you and even if we never talked about it I thought maybe you realized that you mean the world to me. I may have not been the best boyfriend there is but I want you to know that I love you so much Zuri and I want you, I need you in my life. And I see myself with you in the future with our children and I want you to never doubt my feelings for you. I love you Zuri so damn much."

By now I was crying my eyes out. This man.

"I love you too Theo."

Third person

"I just want to say that I will never get over the fact that Theo is finally a father. I mean look at him big and scary looking I don't know how Zuri deals with him."

"You don't have to know how she deals with Theo, Brad you aren't the one getting it so it's not you problem."

"But-"

"Brad, you and Jeff shouldn't be discussing Theo and his woman. Y'all need to get your own."

"Dude I have my own, Ash is the bomb. And I hope you don't still have a thing for Zuri."

"Of course not. She is Theo's and I respect them so don't suggest that again."

"Aight I feel a tension rising. Imma head to the kitchen to get me something to drink."

Brad spoke out and got up and walked off to the kitchen. At the same time Theo entered the living room.

"My dude we were just talking about you. So what up with you and your family? Everything alright?"

"Yeah we good. And Zuri is doing well and Avan is healthy and happy so we are all good."

"Cool."

"So what are we going to do today?"

Dave ask when he realized no one was going to say anything.

"The bar sounds nice."

"Fine by me."

They all headed out to the bar and left Zuri and Ash alone with the baby.

"Whose a good boy? Ah such a cutie. I have the cutest godson ever."

Ash was extremely happy for her best friend and wish all the best for her. When she found out about Zuri's kidnap she was devastated and could hardly sleep knowing her best friend was out there and not knowing what may have been happening to her.

When she was found to say Ash was happy would be an understatement, she and the baby was a plus.

"Do you think I should wear the black or the blue dress?"

Zuri asked holding up the dresses against her body.

" I think the black one is cuter, wear that one. Where is he taking you again?"

"I don't know. He said it's a surprise."

"Ok I just want you to enjoy yourself and don't worry about the baby, he's in good hands. Aren't you buddy?"

She cooed at the baby.

"I will and I won't worry. I'm going to go get ready now."

Two hours later and Zuri was ready and waiting on her boyfriend to come back. She had texted him and he said he'd be there in a couple minutes.

"They're back."
