CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"Where's Theo?"

I asked Jeff when I realized he didn't come back with them?

"I'm going to take you to him. Don't worry nothing happened."

I sighed and nodded before turning to Ash who stood beside me with Avan in her arms.

"Call me if anything happens, anything at all."

She only glared at me before putting one hand on my shoulder and patting it.

"Sweetie, go and enjoy the night with you man and stop bothering yourself about nothing. Avan is going to be alright, okay? So go now he's waiting for you."

"Okay I'll go now."

I kissed the top of Avan's head before leaving with Jeff. Dave and Brad were going to stay here until Jeff returns to stay with Ash. I'm really grateful for Ash and Theo's friends as they have been major help to us in every way possible.

We've been driving for five minutes now and I still had no clue where we were going. Jeff hadn't said anything but he kept looking over at me as if he had something to say.

"Is something wrong?"

He turned to look at me and then back at the road. Running one hand through his hair he let out a sigh.

"Have you, at any point, had any suicidal thoughts?"

I looked at him in shock. That was not what I expected him to say.

"No I've never ever thought about anything like that Jeff. Why would you even ask me that?"

I've been through alot but never once have I thought to end my life. I couldn't do that to Theo or my baby. And I'm sure Ash would have been deeply affected if I did that.

It would only make things worst so I didn't go down that lane, ever.

"Zuri, Theo is really worried about you. He said you have been stressing lately and then yesterday you said somethings about him not wanting you and stuff like that and then he found you in then you locked yourself in the bathroom only for him to find you in the tub fully submerged under the water and that scared him."

He explained and looked over at me once more. My eyes widened in realization that my stupid stunt had made Theo worry that I may be suicidal.

"Ugh.... I never meant for that to happen. I was just...... I'm gonna have to talk to him about it. I can't have him thinking like that."

"You can but not tonight. You guys just enjoy yourselves tonight ok?"

Couple minutes later we arrived at a restaurant at the outskirts of the town. I've never been there and I was excited about it. Atleast this could help us take our minds off things even if it's just for tonight.

"He's inside waiting. And remember just have fun."

I smile and thanked him before walking up to the entrance.

"Theo Black."

"Right this way, your company as arrived already."

I followed him as he guided me to where Theo was seated. Immediately he saw me and stood up and pulled me to him and kissed me.

"Your so beautiful. I feel like a very lucky guy to have a woman like you in my life."

Blushing I kissed him again and hugged him.

"I'm the one who is lucky to have you."

We spent the rest of the night eating, drinking, talking and laughing about anything and everything. It felt good to be going out and enjoying myself again especially with the man I love.

"Are you going to introduce me to your family anytime soon?"

I couldn't help but to ask but it seems like it was not a question Theo wanted me to ask him.

"Baby you'll meet them when the time is right. As for now I just want to be with you and make you happy."

"When will that be though? I mean don't you want them to know about me or what?"

"Baby let's not talk about this now. We gonna leave now let's go."

"I didn't mean to make you upset, I just-"

"I'm not upset. Let's just forget about it."

I followed him outside and he helped me into the car before he entered and drove off.

When we arrived home, we walked in and saw Jeff and Ash on the sofa sleeping with the television on. Theo went over to wake them while I went upstairs to check on my baby.

I found him in his crib sleeping soundly. I kissed his forehead and cheek before exiting the room and went back downstairs.
