Jennie and Lisa passed at the fire exit of Moonlight Lodge to avoid people in the reception area. They may wonder how there was an old man and a young man in Room three-o-five.

Slowly and carefully they went down the stairs. She was very nervous because she might suddenly slip and scream causing people there to discover what they were pretending to be. Fortunately, what she feared did not happen.

From Moonlight Lodge, Lisa and Jennie took a taxi to Gwangsan District. Lisa taught her how to walk like a man. She always seems to have a lump to make her body look big. She was very fond of pretending to be an old man walking with her cane is incredible. There are times when she is even by the people they are with.

From Gwangsan District they took a taxi to Seo District. The travel was fast because it's still early in the morning and there was no traffic. After less than thirty minutes' drive, they arrived at the Seo District Terminal and boarded a Bus to Jeju.

They sat on a seat for two. She chose to sit by the window. Moments later she felt drowsy. She leaned her head against the window. From time to time she bumped her head on the window because of the movement of the bus she just sat straight. Later she felt Lisa hug her and leaned her head on her chest.

"Thank you, 'Grandpa Lisa'," she whispered to her while still closing her eyes.

"Sleep tight, 'grandson'," Lisa replied in an old voice.

Jennie restrained herself from laughing because feminine voice might come out of her. She just bit her lower lip before continuing to sleep.

She was startled when she felt a light pat on her shoulder. She rubbed her eyes and saw Lisa's face. The latter said they had to get off the bus. She relaxed her eyes before hesitating to stand up and follow Lisa. She was shaken when the bus conductor helped Lisa as she got off.

From where they got off, they took a taxi. She heard Lisa tell the driver to take them to Songsan-dong. She was just quiet while on the road. She did not even try to find out exactly where they were in Jeju but she imagined that the place Lisa would take her to is very remote.

The sun was about to set when the taxi they were riding finally stopped. Lisa told her that they would just walk to the house where they were staying. She said that vehicles can no longer enter there.

Carrying their luggage, they began to walk along the embankment. She had no problem there because she grow at the province. Jennie laughs at Lisa because it seems difficult for her to balance beyond a foot of land they are traversing. However, she seemed determined to do so she did not tease her again.

After walking along the embankment, they crossed the bridge made of glued bamboo. There was a creek under it and based on what Jennie could hear the water flowing, she knew it was deep. It was easy for Lisa and her to cross there. Materials used are made of wood. Its windows made of capiz are remarkable. It was only one floor but there was a large basement below. Like some of the houses they passed, it was also a few meters away from the nearest neighbor.

Lisa and Jennie went up the stairs of the house. As she opened the door with the key she was carrying Jennie looked around. Surrounded by a variety of trees there are mostly oak and narra trees. There are also orchids attached to the broken trunks of the tree. There is an old-fashioned pumped well on the right side of the house. In front of it is a large paddy field. The cold breeze of fresh air touched her skin.

"Jennie, get in," she heard Lisa say. She immediately closed the door when she entered the house.

Jennie looked around the living room. The furniture there is made of rattan. There is a small TV opposite the long sofa, DVD player, and CD and DVD holder next to the door.

"There are only two rooms in this house. That one on the right." Lisa pointed to the door to the right of the TV set and near the window. "And that one on the left which is where you'll be staying," she turned to the left.

     Jennie just nodded.

Lisa continued to speak. "There's the dining area," she said as she guided her to their right.

There was a long table there with two long chairs on either side.

"There's the kitchen." She pointed next to the dining room space. "Then right outside is the washroom, which you Filipinos refer to as the 'comfort room."

Lisa frowned as she looked at it. "You'll probably go to CR when your stomach is uncomfortable. That's why it's a 'comfort room', eh."

Lisa shrugged. "Some call it the 'john', while British call it the 'loo'," she said, then walked back to the living room.

     Jennie followed her.

"This house may look old but there's high-technology security and protection gadgets installed around here. There are CCTV's, contact alarms, and laser trip wires." They stopped in front of the door of her room. Lisa opened the door.

"This will be your room." Lisa tapped the light switch near the door. Jennie saw the twin-size bed as the whole room lit up. They walked closer to the cabinet that was there. Lisa opened that up. "This is a connecting door to another room." Jennie glanced at what Lisa meant. It had a twist that looked like it was locked inside. As she said, she saw across the cabinet the room allotted to it. "C'mon, follow me," Lisa said, once inside the cabinet.

Jennie was puzzled to follow it. Just like in her room, they also went out to the cabinet. Stunned she looked around the room. It was bigger than her room. There is also a twin-bed there but unlike her room, there are three large TVs and a laptop there.

"Unfair," she said while looking at Lisa. "You have three TVs. Just give me one."

Lisa smiled before taking the remote control over the cupboard. There she pressed something on it that turned on the TV's at the same time. Her jaw dropped as she saw on the screen the different parts of the inside and outside of the house where they were.

"That's for all the CCTV cameras we've got here my dear." After a quite while Lisa turned serious. "I promise we won't stay here very long, Jennie. I'll pull all the strings that I can so you can go back to your old life as soon as possible. But for now, this is one of the safest places where we can stay. "

Jennie shook her head. "It's okay, Lisa. I know I'm safe as long as I'm with you."

Lisa's face expression softened. She slowly pulled her closer to herself, then kiss the top of her head.

Jennie closed her eyes and savored the feelingcaused by the closeness of their bodies. She tried to ignore the worries of theimpending danger to her life. She is fully confident that Lalisa Manoban, thehero of the story of her life, will not abandon her.
