- You're royal blood. It's your duty! - Aerwyna's Mother shouts once again - you will do as you're told!

- But mother-

- No buts! the fire children have grown as powerful as us, we don't want them on the wrong side if a time of need comes.

- Michelle - Her father sternly says, walking in - They have a arrived - He finishes, with a voice that could've made him seem nervous, but a king like him could never be nervous. And neither should Aerwyna as his successor.

Her mother looked at her one last time, making sure she wouldn't try to defy her again, and then motioned the maids to finish brushing her hair while she left, making sure to close the door with a loud bam.

It was her duty to look presentable at all times, It was her duty to be smart and a great worrier, and, it was her duty to get married. She got it, she was a princess, she'd known she was to get married to a powerful man one day. Not that she needed one, Aerwyna knew how to take care of herself and her people, and her parents recognized that, but, (there was always a 'but' with them) they also insisted that two heads were better then one, and that an alliance sealed by marriage was always welcome.

But to a child of fire? Aerwyna hated fire! her specialty was water! How could she live in a pile of mist for the rest of her life?

She took a look at the mirror sitting in front of her. She didn't even look like herself; suffocated inside an uncomfortable dark blue dress that showed too much of her cleavage and was too long for her to walk in. It was unpractical and she most definitely didn't like it.

- What's taking you so much time Aerwyna ?

silvia p.o.v

- wait wait wait - Sean snorts, braking into a laugh, startling silvia and, making her take her hands off his face interrupting the images - How can someone be called Aerwyna??

- Mind you I think it's a beautiful name. It means friend of the sea.

- still, doesn't it seem cruel to name someone that?

- It's an ancient name! what part of 'a long long time ago before humans even existed' did you not understand?? Now shut up or I'm going to stop this.

- No please don't! I really want to know what I'm going to be dying for.

- You're not going to die... - I sigh.

- yeah yeah, lets just go back. How do you do that though? Are you turning your hands into 3D glasses or something?

- No, just a trick i learned from an old friend - she shrugs taking me back.

planet earth start of the Mesozoic era, Aerwyna p.o.v

- what's taking you so much time Aerwyna ? - Her mother angrily yelled from the bottom of the staircase.

- coming!

Getting out of her room looking like her grandma was bad, and trying to get down the stairs without ripping her skirt was terrible, but, worse then that would've been having to do all that in high hills. But because the dress was so long, Aerwyna figured her mother wouldn't throw a fit about her walking around barefoot.

Looking down at Hagan who was standing next to her parents with his family, Aerwyna took his hand for a quick shake and silently greeted his parents. She had to admit she was luckier then most, at least she wasn't being sold off to an old fart.

Hagan wasn't too bad, he had dark red hair and pale skin like any other child of fire. He was just... typical. Hut he could say the same thing for her and her dark blue hair.

- Aerwyna, it is a pleasure to meet you again. - He says, walking with us to the living room.

The living room is spacious, typical of a castle, it has a great waterfall at the middle, separating the eating area from the living room. Aerwyna was truly relieved that the palace was chosen for this meeting, she didn't appreciate Burgdorff's humble, fire-y home. It was as scary as it was uncomfortable.

- so, about the wedding tomorrow - misses Burgdorff starts once everyone has sat down. Please say we have to reschedule... - I am delighted to inform that all invitations have been excepted and that everything is in place.

Ugh. No bad news of course.

- Darling are there any last minute requests you'd like to throw in - her mother asks.

How about no wedding at all ? she thought to herself

oh, we can arrange that.

Aerwyna turns around as quickly as possible, trying to catch the origin of the voice, but failing.

don't try, you cant see me

- Aerwyna, are you ok? is there something wrong? - Miss burgdoff asks, the concern in her eyes making Aerwyna jump back to reality.

- oh no everything is fine, just a wasp, you know how they love water, they just love to keep barging in here don't they? - she fake smiles.

Come to to the forest. Now. I'll give you a chance at freedom.

- May I excuse myself for a moment? I'm not feeling very well - Aerwyna says, getting up at once without waiting for an answer. Any chance at freedom was worth it, and so, she left the living area and practically jumped out the main door. Dang it i forgot my shoes! her bare feet would have to do, she couldn't go back in there.

the castle was situated on top of a hill surrounded by forest on all sides, so Aerwyna found herself hoping the voice had been way more specific as to where she should go. But the voice didn't sound like it would be coming back so she decided to bet on just walking straight ahead.

Only after starting to reach the denser part of the forest did Aerwyna finally wonder if she was trusting this guy too much, this could totally be a trap or a prank.

keep walking

Fine, she says to herself, or it, it could probably read her mind so maybe both.

The further she walks the denser the forest gets, and barely any light manages to pass trough the leaves of all shapes and shades of green. it was getting creepy, especially because Aerwyna didnt know this part of the forest well, she had always been skeptical about this place since she was a child, mainly because of the dinosaurs and the other scary creatures lurking around in the shadows. she knew they couldn't hurt her, they were in different planes after all, but they still scared the shit our of her.

Just as terrifying images of spooky reptiles slid through Aerwyna's mind something bumped into her from behind; she hears a scream and so she instinctively screams too while turning around absolutely unready for whatever she was to find behind her.
