- That's the girl we saw in your bedroom - Dan murmurs in a very alarmed tone.my muscles immediately tense up at the news. what is she doing here? maybe she is here to help me. she did warn me that someone was looking for me, but i have no idea who this is, (and she knows where i am, so she must've have looked for me too), she might even be the person who is 'looking for me'. i'm not comfortable with this either way, and maybe she didn't write me that letter after all.
- A-are you sure? - I manage to stutter out.
- One hundred percent.
- Well what do we do??
- We act normal, and pray that she didn't come here to kill us all for some reason.
- Good idea.
great, just great. I've just finished cussing out Andrew, and now I find out that the person we were looking for is right here!
My eyes once more dart to the corner of the room where Nia's father is lost in conversation with Madison's parents, with Nia not to far away listening to Madison rattle.
- Just another question Daniel, is there something weird about how that man looks?
I ask, looking at mr Ram one last time.
- No, he looks totally normal to me.
ok then, so either I really should've tried to sleep more, or I have some kind of 'sight'. i wonder if Andrew can see i too. but i guess ill have to stay curious, because i'm not about to go talk to him until he apologizes.
Andrew P.O.V
I sense that there is something i don't know about, especially because the moment Sean walked through the door Emily and Daniel started 'secretly' calling him (these people really need to work on there discreet callings) and because they all had the faces of terrified pandas.
Don't go
I ignore the voice in my head and gather around the glass table to start eating and with my luck i end up having to sit next to Emily again, with Madison in front of me and and Nia in front of Emily, that's when, against all odds Emily starts talking to Nia
- so when did you arrive from Thailand, it must've been a tiring flight, its so far away.
- oh we came this morning, my father had some busyness here and I've always loved travelling, and sense i'm on summer vacation i came with him. My brother and my mother didn't want to come along.
- i see...
I start giving side way glances at Emily, sensing that something is weird, especially because no one else seemed to be as stunned as i am
Emily is not the type to make small talk, especially with new people, last time we had someone over she read half of the time, and the other half, she was on her phone watching videos. she totally ignored the girl, the girl even thought that she must've done something terribly out of line, but turned out Emily just wasn't interested in talking to her.
- where do you go to school to?
- oh you know, here and there.
- what is your full name?
what the hell? is this some kind of subtle interrogation?
- Nia Caldwell
why doesn't Caldwell sound very Thai? Maybe her family originally came from somewhere else.
- were you born and raised in Thailand?
- yes.
That's when i see it, Emily writing down every answer on her phone, i had no idea she could do that. I knew that she could type very fast, but i couldn't have guessed she could write without even spearing a look at her phone.
why the hell is she taking note of this information?
I lightly elbow her to get her attention and give her a questionable look, witch she replies with an irritated expression and goes back to asking questions.
I try again and this time she doesn't even look at me and just kicks me under the table.
Now I'm getting kind of angry. What gives her the right to kick me and make this girl super uncomfortable! and why is no one else saying anything!i snatch Emily phone from her hand and see what she was doing. she's internet stalking!
Next thing i know i see a drop of floating high speed water going right into my eye.
- what the fuck Emily?!
Everyone's eyes are on me now, the water was surely to fast for anyone else to see. i'm making a fool of myself.
- i'm sorry, something hit my eye, i'm just going to the bathroom.
I say, getting up and walking through the long corridor to the bathroom that is in the last door to the left.
The moment i close the door it opens again and Emily walks in.
- give me my phone back.
oh yeah, i totally forgot about that.
- what the hell were you doing internet stalking that girl?? - I ask, giving her her phone back
- oh, 'that girl' is the person who broke into my room!
- why didn't you tell me?
- Because your an ass. And just like i thought, no signs of her online, she isn't who she says she is, and her father is in it too.
- How am i the ass? you just threw water at my eye! that really hurts! and not everyone has social media!
- Its not my fault you stole my phone, and its your fault i cried for hours after nearly being killed! after all you were the one that insisted in us going to the rock, AT NIGHT! surely something needed to go wrong!
- well, its not my fault that out of all the seashells in the world you had to get the one that would get us on this mess!
we hear the door open and quickly jerk our heads to see who it is.
- oh so i see your little friend is all caught up on the news. Anything else I should know ? - Nia says, closing the door behind her.
