Like ocean to me

A/N : HELLO SUNSHINE'S I'M SO HAPPY TO BE BACK! One of my favorite genres in literature has always been fantasy, so this book is going to have exactly that. And don't worry, i already have everything planned out for this one :)

Last day of school. thought this day would never come. i'm eagerly looking at the clock, i can feel that every second that passes I'm closer to summer brake, the time I've been waiting for since the end of the last summer brake. It's so close.

DRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIINNNG

Finally. i jump from my seat and run to my locker to quickly empty it. The locker next to mine is equally hurriedly opened by Dan

-  Emily, you ready for summer?

- Hell yeah, like always. Were going to have a blast this year. Except the part where we have to hang out with Andrew and Madison. 

We start walking in the direction of the school gate.

- why do you still hate them so much, cant you just get over it?

- no way, Andrew is always messing around with my patience, and Madison is so annoyingly crushing on him every summer (i doubt she even really likes him) and while i'm trying to get back at him for annoying me, she's trying to seduce him in every way! i feel so sorry for Sean... he always ends up having to spend more time with her.

- yeah, you do have a point, I get that you don't like Andrew, he is, indeed specifically mean to you, but you guys are sixteen now, don't you think its time to stop this rivalry of yours? 

- I might even be 80, as long as I have to spend my summers with him and he doesn't apologize to me for all the things he did, I still have a lot to get back to him. 

- his never going to apologize for everything, i bet he doesn't remember half of the things he does to you, and you also probably forgot some.

We continue to walk home together talking about what things we want to do this summer. 

I say goodbye to Dan and open the door to my house. i'm greeted with my parents packing all there stuff at the last minute. 

- hey sweetheart, were just finishing up here, if you want you can go to Daniel's house straight away, this year we decided to rent a bigger car for all of us.

- oh ok, great.

i go up to my room, open the window and throw a small rock to the window in front. Dan quickly opens the window.

- Dan, i''m coming over ok? apparently were going to share the car this year.

- yeah sure, im already all packed to go, meet me in that black car, it should be unlocked. ill be there in a minute, i have to tell you something.

- ok

The perks of being neighbors with your best friend am i right?

I get my two big suitcases and my backpack, and go next door. i open the trunk and neatly store my bags.

Eventually Dan opens the door and sits next to me in the third row

- so, i just heard my parents talking about something you should know, but i'm not sure i should tell you, you will know later anyways.

- spit it out Daniel! now i'm curious!

- just don't freak out, i know your going to be mad.

- tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me.

- okay sure, just don't freak out. so, i heard that Andrews family couldn't rent the apartment they usually do, so they are renting the one right next to yours.

He says 

- oh no... that means...

- yes, that means that, you are probably going to have to go to his house much more often. 

- noooooooo.

The only down part of my summer is Andrew, our summer group would be so much better without him, even Madison is way more likable when his not around. but all our parents are really good friends and they insist on making us all spend time together as well...

The ride was about 4 hours long, but it was worth it. 

I started getting very exited again when i see the directions plate:

MAYFORT 100 meters. 

When we finally arrive, at the parking lot, i can already smell the ocean. were all really sleepy so we all go to our different apartments. It's really late, witch is great, because like that i don't have to face Andrew today. even tho we go to the same school, I never talk to him, and he doesn't bother me there either.

I look around my familiar bedroom,  memories flash trough my mind, i love it here. My parents bought this house a long time ago, and showed the place to there closest friends, and they loved it, since i was born I've always spent my summers here with Andrew, Daniel, Sean and Madison. 

I unpack all my belongings and put them nicely where they belong. I know its very late at night but i wouldn't be able to sleep knowing I hadn't put everything nicely in its place. 

When I finish everything I lay down on the bed and look at ceiling, i knew i wouldn't be able to fall asleep, I never am.
