Sean p.o.vThese days everyone seems to be acting weird around me. The only normal person is Daniel, and from what I've gathered he feels the exact same way.
Things can't get worse then this can they? Emily is brokenhearted and moody for some reason, Nia looks more (much, much more) alarmed then usual and we're sitting on a the most awkward dinner table of all time, witch includes:
-> Emily staring at Andrew like she's never felt more betrayed.
- > Andrew deliberately ignoring that stare while smashing food into his mouth.
- > Madison flirting with Andrew's (apparently) long time friends whom I've never heard of.
- > Nia looking at one of them, i think Gabriel or something, like she wants to put him on fire and suffocate him, witch is weird since we're supposed to be meeting them for the first time
- > Me trying to enjoy my Dinner.
- > A bunch of happy oblivious adults.
I feel like they know something that I don't. I've been having that feeling since summer started and my sixth sense is rarely wrong.
And the fact that Andrew was missing one day and suddenly comes back with 4 people I've never heard of (witch is bullshit because I know Andrew very well and I feel like there is no way for him not ever mentioning these people) is extra suspicious. Also they all look... weird? And by weird I mean:
- > They're all wearing all black, witch is quite the coincidence.
- > they look very serious. Too serious for people who just came to visit their close friend during summer.
- > I think one of them doesn't know how to use silverware.
Silvia, the one that can't seem to get a hang of her fork, is looking at me like an old woman who forgot her glasses at home and is trying to read something.
From nowhere Nia starts coughing, witch makes everyone turn their gaze to her, but I notice they don't seem too surprised. I guess this isn't all that bad, at least Silvia isn't staring at me anymore. Maybe Nia was so serious and focused she chocked on her food. Madison keeps patting her back but that doesn't seem to work, finally, Nia stands up, mumbling a quick 'excuse me' and walks away from the table.
- All right guys, do you want to go to the beach ? - Gabriel asks, standing up, making Silvia turn to him while swinging her (obviously painted) red hair.
Andrew takes their plates up to the kitchen and leaves with the newcomers behind him, and me, following even more behind. I don't think that 'you' included me, witch is more of a reason to go.
Madison p.o.v
I carefully knock on the bathroom door, and, when I hear no response I slowly open it.
on the other side, Nia is quickly standing up from the floor in front of the toilet seat while flushing it, proceeding to lean on the wall on the other side like she's just been caught by the police doing something illegal.
- Are you ok? - I ask, seeing that she is most definitely not ok.
- Yes, I'm fine - she answers followed by her getting down on her knees and vomiting inside the toilet once more.
I sit down next to her and brush back her hair while patting her back, with my eyes closed of course, I don't want to vomit with her.
- Are you pregnant? - I ask when I think she's finished.
- what?! of course not, no way - she says looking at me with her eyes as wide as a fish's.
- Are you sure - I continue - its ok if you are, I wont tell anyone,at least not if you want me to. And ill help you if you need -
- I'm not pregnant!
- How can you be so sure, don't you want to test at least?
- I said I'm not freaking pregnant! I, I have more to do then to go around... getting pregnant if you know what I mean. I'm not pregnant. Besides not only, in my opinion, am I too young for that, I'm also not ready to do those kinds of things.
- I, i ok then - I say almost to myself. I guess she isn't pregnant then.
- Do... people here on earth - Damn it - I mean here on other places of the world... you know, do that so early? - she asks almost looking embarrassed by her question.
Honestly I'm flattered to be asked. People never ask me about anything, at least not anything knowledge based. But Nia is asking me, she is asking me about something, and im going to have to let her down, because there is a good reason on why people don't ask me questions, and that reason is just that I don't know the answers.
- well that's kind of hard to answer, it depends on a lot of things, the way you were raised, your culture stuff like that.
- ok - she says, obviously reflecting on my answer.
After a awkward pause I finally decide to ask again
- Then why are you puking? does this happen often?
- oh on, this is very rare. The last time I vomited was the first and last, and it was because I ate an eraser. Now, I'm sure that I haven't eaten any erasers recently, so what the hell is wrong with me?
- look its ok, its totally normal to get an upset stomach from time to time. No need to-
- No you don't get it. This doesn't just happen, I don't get upset stomachs unless I eat something that is wildly uneatable! I know myself well I-
Nia p.o.v
- Is that Sean? - Madison interrupts, raising her eyebrows and getting up to get closer look from the window. I abruptly get myself together and get in front of her, staring outside.
And then it hits me. I didn't eat anything wildly uneatable by mistake, I was set up.
