But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough
"The men are in position and ready to attack." I heard, looking from my feet to Rex just as he approached. I nodded, climbing to my feet and dusting myself off. "Alright. Give me a moment. There's something I have to do first." Rex nodded and walked over towards a hidden area, probably somewhere the monks used for private practice and saw that Kix and another trooper were tending to the trooper I saved outside.
"How's he doing..Kix, right?" I asked, Kix looking up and nodding. "Yes, sir. The extent to his leg is severe. That clanka got him good in the calf. He won't be able to walk on his leg for a while." Kix explained. I sighed, looking to the trooper.
"What's your name, trooper?"
"Uh..Matches.." He replied, while I knelt down beside Kix. "Well, Matches..this will be over soon. And you'll be back on the field before you know it."
"I..hope so, sir. Thank you." I nodded, smiling slightly and standing back up on my feet. "Hope you get better soon, Matches. Kix, stay here and keep tending him. Those droids will break through any minute. I can't say what will happen when they do." I admitted, keeping an uncertain look on my face.
"Just do what you can, kid. We'll be fine." Kix replied. I left the area, seeing that the men were now aim their guns towards the wall, a powering down sound was heard and I ignited my lightsabers, holding a stance as I watched the doors open. "Get ready!" ---
Anakin, Ahsoka, and I ran throughout the entire monastery trying to find a door leading outside. But this place was a fricking maze! I kept getting this weird feeling like something was wrong. I kept looking back, thinking something or someone was following us, but I saw nothing.
"Guys, wait.." I called, coming to a stop as did Anakin and Ahsoka. "What is it, Violet?" Anakin asked.
"I need to go back. I keep getting this feeling like something's wrong." I said, looking back in the direction we just came from. "Go ahead. Ahsoka and I will be fine. Just be careful." I nodded, sprinting off back towards the main entrance. I followed the sound of blast fire and hoped I would make in time to save the others. I knew Kayla could hold out on her own seeing her stunts from earlier, but I knew I had to do something because this person...whoever she keeps sensing, they're too powerful for her to handle alone.
"Come on, Vi. We can do this." I mumbled to myself before I turned a corner, seeing Ventress had knocked everyone off their feet, even Kayla. "Shoot!" I exclaimed, ducking back behind a wall as blast fire was sent my way and then out of nowhere, a trooper.
"Jesus Christ!" I exclaimed, rushing over to the clone. But I had a feeling he already was dead. I heard something snap before he even hit the ground. I shook him a bit, hoping I was wrong, but unfortunately, I was. He must have died on impact. I shook my head, sighing sadly and standing to my feet, knowing I'm not gonna let this happen to another person.
"I know you're there.."I heard someone call, myself cursing knowing I most likely exposed myself earlier from shouting. I walked away from the trooper and out in the open, where I saw that another girl around my age had Kayla by her hair and a red illuminated blade at her throat.
This girl must have been very powerful, because Kayla was bloody and bruised already. She had blood dripping from her nose and mouth and all I could feel was feel horrified for her.
"I knew you sensed familiar.." The girl said, a wide smirk against her pale skin as she dropped Kayla to the ground, groaning loudly as she gripped her side. "You have the same evil blood in your bones as I do, as Ventress does."
"I'm nothing like you two. Never have, never will be." I retorted, glaring viciously at the girl in front of me. "And that, my friend, is where you're wrong. You don't recognize me?" I took a good look at the girl, she looked really familiar but I still couldn't tell who she was. She shook her head, an almost saddened look on her face, I couldn't tell, her face was hid a bit by her hair.
"Let me refresh your memory.." And with that, she struck at me with her blade, myself dodging out of the way of her deadly weapon. How am I suppose to fight her with no weapons?!
"Ventras.." I heard and then, out of nowhere, a large curvy blade appeared in my hand, pulsing a green color and producing a green glowing smoke around it. "That's impossible.." I heard Ventress say, not sure what she meant, but I held a stance.
"You really think you can fight me? After all, we all know who's...the weak link." And that hit it. That was the statement that always got me. I knew who this girl was now. I knew who she was because she knew how to get under my skin.
"I should have known it was you, Audrey.." I mumbled, handling a tight, almost death, grip on the blade in my hand. "So, you finally recognize me? Aren't you a peach?"
"I don't want to fight you, because I love you, but..I will if I have to." ---
"Rex..." Kayla called, struggling to crawl over to the Captain, groaning loudly as the pain in her body increased. She shook him, the man sitting up and coughing. "Are you okay?"
"I..uhm..I'm fine." Rex replied, rubbing his throat as he did. His head then perked up when Kayla groaned and through his helmet, his eyes widened. "The hell happened to you?" He asked, as soon as he saw her face, bloody and bruised. "I'm alright. We need to get up and help Violet before the girl kills her."
"You're not going anywhere." They heard before Kayla pushed Rex out of the way of Ventress attacking them. Kayla yelled in pain as her body slammed against the ground, grabbing her ribs. But she fought against her protests of pain, pushing herself to her feet and igniting one of her lightsabers.
"You still choose to fight? How pathetic..your death will be too easy." Ventress responded with a smirk. "We'll see about that, Ventress.."
