The droids were getting closer and closer to their position and Kayla quickly inhaled and exhaled sharply, trying to prepare herself for when her and Obi-Wan jump out to distract them.
"When do I jump in?" Kayla asked Obi-Wan as she looked away from the droid army. "Wait. Wait."
As soon as the shield was about 6 or 7 feet away from them, Obi-Wan nodded to her and she hopped out from my spot, approaching them while igniting her two sunset orange bladed lightsabers.
: Remember what you have to do, Kayla. : She heard Obi-Wan say through her comm and she nodded, holding her ground and a fighting stance. "Copy that."
The shield got closer and closer to her and sweat started to form on her forehead as she watched it touch the tip of her blade. "Here we go.." she mumbled, letting the shield pass over her and immediately she began swinging her blades, taking out the front line battle droids which tried to shoot, but were crappy at it and missed, regardless of her being right in their face.
When she took one more battle droid down, she saw blasters pointed at her and turned around, seeing super battle droids aiming their weapons at her and surrounding her. "Welp, it was worth a shot." She said, retracting her blades and holding up her hands in surrender.
"Hold it right there, Jedi scum." A droid said as Kayla rose an eyebrow in annoyance. "Lower your weapons and surrender." Kayla smirked, shrugging and laying her lightsabers down. "Here's the thing, though...I can't exactly surrender. So.."
Without a second to pass, Kayla balanced her weight on her hands, going from a downward dog up into a back flip, hitting the droid in the face and rolling back to her feet, her lightsabers back in hand and ignited once more, slashing through a super droid near her. Blast fire soon followed but not by the droids, but by the clones. She briefly looked back, seeing Rex and Cody ordering their men to fire at the droids and Obi-Wan coming up beside her.
"Great work, Kayla! Let's end this!" Obi-Wan reassured, Kayla nodding and fighting off the droids as best she could. She always thought that fighting off this many droids was going to be difficult since they all came at you at once, byt really it was could have like a sport. It was fun. But that died down when tanks rolled up, blasting some clones nearby away and she quickly backed up.
"Obi-Wan! We have to retreat the men back to the heavy cannons." She suggested, remembering what Obi-Wan did in the show and knew they needed to retreat now. "Alright, Kayla, you go with Captain Rex and Cody to the cannons. I'll distract the droids and whatever you do, protect the cannons. Don't come back for me."
