Jungkook woke up to the smell of freshly made bacon. He sleepily opened his eyes halfway to look at the clock on the bedside table and noticed that he had about 15 minutes more to sleep. Which explains why his husband didn't wake him up yet.
Waking up to a the smell of a delicious breakfast is Jungkook's second most favourite way to get up in the morning. First one of course is the sweet touches and kisses of his husband.
Jungkook quickly got up from the bed and went to the washroom to do his morning routine. Then he made his way to the kitchen and saw Taehyung frying something, probably eggs by the smell of it. He was wearing only a sweatpant and was looking mouth watering like always.
"Good morning." Jungkook said softly and Taehyung looked over his shoulder and gave a smile.
"Good morning baby. Did the smell wake you up?" Taehyung asked as he put a egg on to one of the plates and put a fresh one on to the pan.
Jungkook shrugged his shoulders in response and sat down on a chair. "It's bacon. What did you expect?"
Taehyung chuckled in response.
"I tell you Kookie, with that nose of yours, you must have been a dog in your pervious life."
"Dog? What kind?" Jungkook asked in a curious tone while looking at Taehyung's naked back. He could never get tired of looking at his husband.
Taehyung held the spatula in his hand over the pan and thought for a few seconds. "A Pomeranian. White one."
"No, I wanna be a Rottweiler." Jungkook says in a whining voice and Taehyung gave a little laugh at that.
Taehyung puts the egg to the other plate and switched off the stove. He then carried both plates, which are filled with bacon, sausages and an egg along with the plate of buttered bread slices to the table.
"Nuh... You would be too cute to be a Rottweiler." Taehyung said as he put the plate down in front of Jungkook and kissed his head.
However, when Taehyung try to move to the other side, Jungkook pulled him back for a proper kiss. They were at it for few seconds before Jungkook releases his husband and turned towards his breakfast.
Taehyung sat down on his chair with a soft smile and started to have his breakfast too.
Taehyung and Jungkook had been married for about 3 years now. Their love story is pretty ordinary and normal but at the same time, extraordinary and special.
They met in Seoul university, on the first day of the class. Fate had them sit next to each other as both were studying Marketing. They became friends, then best friends, then lovers and finally husbands.
Taehyung was from Daegu while Jungkook was from Busan. Their families were of equal standing in society, kind hearted people who gave their blessings for the relationship and marriage without any drama whatsoever.
They married in their 3rd and final year of university, both realising that they can't literally live without each other. After graduating, Jungkook and Taehyung tried to find jobs in the same company. They went for many interviews together but got accepted in to different firms.
They brought a house close to both their companies and had been living there ever since. They have been working for about 3 years now, both being made team leader with only few months apart.
Their lives were literally perfect. Both of them love the other more than anything in the world and was very happy with both their personal and professional lives.
"Isn't today my turn?" Jungkook was the one who broke the silence first.
They take turns to make breakfast and today was supposed to be Jungkook's day.
"That's ok baby. I anyway woke up earlier today. How's the party? it's a party right?" Taehyung asked as he gave a soft smile to the other.
"Nope, Just a dinner. We had good turnover yesterday so Jin said to go and celebrate. What was the eventful thing that you mentioned yesterday?"
"One of our delivery truck was delayed. Turned out to be a road accident. It took some fixing."
Taehyung gave a vague explanation and Jungkook nod his head at that.
As a work ethic, Taehyung and Jungkook doesn't talk much about their office life. They both literally have the same job but you could that they were competitors.
"You didn't go for drinks afterwards?" Taehyung asked as it was normally what follows after a team dinner and Jungkook shock his head with a soft grin.
"Guys wanted go for drinks but I came home."
"Why?"
"Cause you were waiting."
"You didn't need to do that, Koo. I told you I was going to bed early. You should have gone and enjoyed with your team."
"That's ok. I feel alone when I'm not with you, you know. I would rather be home with you than party out."
Taehyung gave a fond smile at that. Yes, he knows the feeling very well. He would rather be with Jungkook at home than party too.
They finished their breakfast and got ready to go to work. Taehyung and Jungkook normally wears matching cloths to work, although no one except them would know that.
After they were fully dressed, Jungkook gave Taehyung his neckless which has his wedding ring as a pendant. Since they got married when they were still studying, Jungkook and Taehyung used to wear their wedding rings as pendants.
It will be tucked inside their shirts so one else could see but it is close to their hearts at all time. The habit continued even when they started to work.
Another thing unusual about their marriage was Jungkook's surname. While it was customary to pick up your husband's name after marriage, it was not compulsory.
Jungkook is the only child in their family and keeping the name 'Jeon' seemed to be pretty important to Jungkook's father. Taehyung was totally ok with it so they remained Jeon Jungkook and Kim Taehyung even after the marriage.
They came out of the room after kissing eachother for few seconds and walked out of the house together. Jungkook gave a cheerful wave to Taehyung as he drove off in one direction while Taehyung drove off to the opposite.
Life was indeed perfect for them.
