08 - Pay Back's A Bitch.

Jimin was standing in the corridor when Jungkook came out of the meeting room. He gave a nod in acknowledgment and went on his way. Jimin is actually little confused when it comes to Jungkook.

The guy seemed to be in bad terms with Taehyung with the way they always bicker but Jimin had also seen moments where Jungkook looks at his friend with what could only be explained as heart eyes.

Jimin hope that he's reading the signs incorrectly as he clearly knows how much Taehyung loves his husband. It's going to make life in office difficult for both of them if Jungkook is indeed harbouring romantic feelings towards Taehyung.

His chain of thoughts were disrupted by Taehyung's voice.

"Chim."

"Hey, I was waiting for you." Jimin said as he looked at Taehyung with concern. "What happened in the meeting? And why did Jungkook wanted to talk with you?"

Taehyung thought about the question for few seconds as they walked back to their department. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a good impression about Jungkook. Taehyung would like it if his best friend regarded Jungkook in a favourable light, even though he still can't tell about them being married.

"Jungkook wanted to apologised for the prank pulled by his teammates." Taehyung said after choosing his words carefully.

"Prank?! What prank? Who?!"

"Kai and Jenny seemed to have thought it will be funny to give me the bitterest coffee they could make."

"What?!"

"It's ok. It's a harmless prank. I guess that bastard wanted to get back at me for what happened at the party."

"Guess so. But I have to say, it's nice of Jungkook to apologise on their behalf."

Taehyung smiled happily in his heart. Mission accomplished. "Yeah, guess it was kind of polite of him."

"Will you two stop all these bickering and fighting now?" Jimin asked with wiggling his eyebrows and Taehyung smirked back.

"Should I?"

"Oh God, no!!. I liked it very much. It's my daily dose of entertainment. Please continue."

Taehyung couldn't help laughing at the mischievous look of his friend and soon, Jimin joined the laughter too. They both were still laughing as they entered the department and Jungkook gave them a half amused, half annoyed look.

"Please keep it down, Kim. Some of us are trying to work." Jungkook said in a mock annoyed voice and Taehyung suppressed a chuckle.

"You need to lighten up a bit, Jeon. See the flowers, smell the coffee, you know, the usual shit."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever."

While Taehyung and Jimin dismissed the prank as harmless, there were people who did not. Mark and Jackson had overheard the conversation Taehyung had with Jimin and they were furious about it. They waited till the lunch time and cornered Kai, who was having his lunch with Jenny and Sehun.

Mark and Jackson sat at the table and gave a pissed off look to Kai. Sehun looked at them with surprise but Kai only smirked.

"We heard you pulled a little prank on our team leader." Mark said in a tight voice making Sehun look even more suprised.

"Yeah? So what of I did?" Kai's voice was oozing with smugness. "Was the coffee too bitter for the baby?"

Jenny giggled, making mark and Jackson even more pissed.

"Listen you shithead, if you keep doing underhand things like that, there will be consequences. You need to stop, right now!!"

"Who's gonna stop me? You two?!"

"Yeah."

"Well good luck with that, bitches."

Jackson got up from his seat and walked around to Kai. But before he could do anything, Sehun stepped in between them.

"Alright guys, that's enough. All of you." Sehun said as he stretched a hand each to Kai and Jackson. "You don't want to make a scene here, do you?"

Mark came and put a hand on Jackson's shoulder and it seemed to have calmed down him a bit. They both gave a one last glare before storming out of the dining area. Sehun sat back with a shocked look but Jenny was smiling smugly.

"Did you two really did something like that? What were you guys thinking!?" Sehun asked in a tight voice but Kai only shrugged his shoulders.

Totally unaware to the rest of the department, the comeback for the prank happened the next day. Jungkook had been waiting for a package of fliers that are to be a part of their street marketing plan and Kai was the one who placed the order for that.

It was supposed to be delivered the previous day but Jungkook hadn't got it yet so he called the printers and asked for a update. The corresponding person confirmed that they had already sent it as per given instructions.

Jungkook was puzzled as it should have been delivered sometime back then. Acting upon his gut feeling, Jungkook carefully checked the instruction mail sent by Kai and noted that the delivery address had a slight typo error.

The street name was slightly altered to a one in the other side of Seoul. Thus the package had gone there and when they realized that the given location is incorrect, they had returned it to the sender again.

Jungkook managed to keep his composure long enough to call the printers again and informing them about the returning package on route and gave them the correct address. But he exploded right after he kept the phone down.

He called Kai to a meeting room and gave him an earful about double checking the information before sending out anything. No one else were able to hear what was being said as the door was closed but they could see it all through the glass on the side. And boy!! Jungkook did not look happy at all.

His hands were flying all over as he kept yelling at Kai and the latter just kept his head lowered. It was finished within about 5 minutes but the atmosphere of the office was off for the whole day. Everyone kept their heads down and worked and Taehyung wouldn't even dare look at Jungkook, in fear of making him more angry.

Purely by chance, Taehyung had seen Jackson standing over Kai computer at lunch time, yesterday. He had meant to ask Jackson about that but it slipped his mind due to work. He had also seen the high-five that Jackson and Mark shared when Kai was being scolded by Jungkook.

It doesn't take a genius to guess what had happened. While he will definitely talk to Mark and Jackson about this, he knows he can't say anything to Jungkook as it will clearly make things worse.

Taehyung is an honourable man so he doesn't think these kind of things should be tolerated in a corporate environment but sadly, you can't help it too. He's just worried about Jungkook's work being messed up but that's how things work.

But, he could always fix his husband's mood at home where they don't have an audience like this. Taehyung went home earlier than Jungkook as the latter was still engaged in his work. He decided to make Jungkook's favourite meal for dinner. They would ohave a nice bubble bath, then a romantic dinner and possibly top it all with hot love.

Yes, Taehyung had everything planned. All that is left now is for Jungkook to come home.
