20 - Have You Heard From Jungkook?

Next day was a gloomy one for everyone. Kai was not in the office nor has he called in to inform it. Jungkook could care less if not for the fact that he still had to get information about how that bastard got to know about Tae's plans.

He tried calling Kai but the phone was switched off. He's was in a bit of a fix as Kai managed the tech stuff for his team. Yoongi had volunteered to do that for the time being but Jungkook had to come up with something cause tech was not Yoongi's specialty.

Taehyung's team was in a foul mood for the obvious reasons. The only exception was Chenyeol, who surprisingly looked like he's lost in deep thoughts. He had come to Taehyung's table and the latter could feel that Chenyeol wanted to speak about something important. But after few seconds of stuttering, Chenyeol would say something totally unimportant and leave. Taehyung couldn't figure out what was wrong.

All and all, it was definitely the worst day in the office and everyone was relieved when it's time to go home. Jungkook was actually not in the office after lunch and so was Taehyung and Jimin. So the rest of them decided to leave early too. The atmosphere in the office was too depressing to work anyway.

It was around 7.00pm and Taehyung was driving back from the work with Jimin. Suddenly the sound of an incoming call rang through the car. He looked at the display to see an unknown number and pressed the button to answer the call.

"Hello?"

"Taehyung, it's Yoongi. Do you know where Jungkook is?" Yoongi's urgent voice came though the reciver.

Taehyung looked sideways at Jimin who had his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Why would that grandpa ask about Jungkook from Taehyung?

"No, I don't. Is something wrong?"

"I hope not. Liza just called me. Apparently Jungkook was supposed to meet one of our venders at 3.00pm today and that vender had just informed her that he had not. His phone is switched off so she had called me instead. I was just wondering whether he had said anything to you."

"No, I hadn't spoken to him in the afternoon at all." Taehyung's voice sounded quite uneasy now.

"I'm getting a bad feeling about this, Taehyung. Things have been pretty bad in the office lately."

Jimin was listing to this conversation with surprise. Yoongi getting worried about Jungkook was pretty normal.  Jimin had already noticed how protective the sleepy grandpa is about his team leader. But why was Taehyung getting this worked up?

"Where is this vender?" Taehyung asked and Yoongi named an area that was quite shady. "But that's a bad neighbourhood."

"I know. Specially at night time."

"You know what, just send me the address. I'll go there." Taehyung said as he took a sharp turn to left.

"I'll send it right now. I would go myself but it's quite far from my place."

"Don't worry about it. I'll find him."

Taehyung cut the line and once he received the message, he gestured Jimin to enter it in to his navigator system. Jimin did it without any question as Taehyung increased the speed even more.

The car ride was silent. Even though Jimin had about 100 questions to ask, he held his tongue as Taehyung's face clearly showed that he's not ready to answer any. Jimin had never seen his friend's face with this much worry and concern.

Jungkook was genuinely pissed off. He was at the given location to meet a new vendor exactly 5 minutes before the agreed time but the damn shop was closed. He checked the address and confirmed that he was at the right location.
