21 - If Someone Had Done This Purposefully....

"Hey Jimin, I like you to finally meet my husband, Jeon Jungkook."

Jimin looked at Taehyung as if the latter had grown horns on his head. He blinked for few times and both Taehyung and Jungkook waited for his response.

"Y-your husband??" Jimin stuttered in shock and Taehyung nod his head as a reply before starting to walk toward their cars.

Taehyung had to support Jungkook as his husband was having some difficulty in walking. Jungkook's legs were fine but he had taken hew beatings to his ribs which were now hurting as he walked.

Jimin followed them after being still for few seconds. Suddenly there was a tiny gasp heard from Jimin and Taehyung turned his head to look at his friend.

"This is the same husband you've always been married right? You didn't divorce him and married Jungkook right?"

Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle at that question. "Yes, Jimin. He's the same one I've been married for the past 5 years."

Again there were few seconds of silence before Jimin jog forward to come near Taehyung and blurted out with another question.

"But at the party?"

"I was trying to be funny. Didn't knew anyone was listening." Taehyung said with a small smile but his face turned serious after that. "And after that... you know very well how Namjoon is about office affairs."

Jimin could understand Taehyung's thoughts. It definitely seemed like the right call in this case.

"But you always fights in the office. You two don't even call each other by your names!!" Jimin sounded little betrayed with this fact.

"It was just for fun. And I don't like it when he says my name." Jungkook was the one who answered the question this time.

"Of course I have few other names for him but I can't say those in office right? So it had to be Jeon." Taehyung offered a further explanation and Jimin gave a huff at that.

Yes, calling your rival colleague as 'Kookie' did sound like a bad idea.

They had reached their cars when a sudden thought crossed Jimin's mind.

"Hold up!! Did that grandpa knew about this? How?!"

"He had seen us being all lovely dovey in the office." Jungkook said with a mischievous smile and Taehyung raised his eyebrows at that. "His words, not mine."

"Well, who else knows?" Jimin was little jealous at that. How come that grandpa got to know before him?? "And why the hell didn't you tell me?"

Taehyung looked at his friend with an apologetic look. He knew that Jimin would be upset when he got to know that Taehyung kept something important like this his from him. It just that the conversation never came up and these wasn't a right time.

"Hoseok knows. He knew about us being together and the other day, Tae just told him that we are married. Although I don't know how he got to know it in the first place."

Jungkook answered and leaned against the car as he tried to take few deep breaths. His ribs hurt lot more that he initially imagined. He just hoped nothing was broken.

Both Taehyung and Jimin noted Jungkook's discomfort. A concerned look fell on to Jimin's face while Taehyung opened the passenger door and helped his husband inside.

"Are you done with your questions?" Taehyung asked in a teasing way to lighten up the mood a bit the other two could clearly sense his worry.

"Oh I'm sorry for being a little curious. You see, my best friend had kept the biggest detail about his life from me for few months." Jimin answered in a mocking tone but he also gave a worried look to Jungkook.

"You should take him to a hospital, Tae."

"I will. Jimin can you-"

"Yeah, I'll take your car. I can pick my one from the office tomorrow."

"Thanks Jimin." Taehyung said with a smile as he walked around to the drivers side.

He waited till Jimin got in to his car and drive away. Jungkook was just leaning against the window, with blood stains all over his face. Taehyung tried to wipe some but his wounds needs to get cleaned and properly treated.

They didn't talk much as Taehyung drove them to the nearest hospital. He however did asked why Jungkook was here so late and the latter replied as the appointment being at 8.00pm. Taehyung didn't say anything about Yoongi mentioning it to be at 3.00pm but he made a mantle note to check it tomorrow.

If by any chance, his team is involved in this, Taehyung didn't know what he would do. Thankfully he was able to get to his husband on time and he couldn't even imagine about the consequences of the alternative.

Luckily, Jungkook didn't had any major wounds or broken ribs. He will definitely have bruises and some difficulties with moving for the next few days, but that was it.

Taehyung helped him clean up and tucked him in to bed as Jungkook said he was not hungry. He had already sent a message to Yoongi about Jungkook when the letter was at the hospital getting his wounds cleaned.

Taehyung also didn't eat, he didn't had any appetite after seeing Jungkook's state. He washed up and got in to the bed, gently spooning Jungkook who had already fallen asleep.

Taehyung and Jungkook drove together to work the next day. Taehyung didn't had his vehicle and also, he didn't want Jungkook to drive with his condition.

Yoongi was outside the office to meet them. His face turned red with rage as he looked at the state of the younger's face. Jungkook had few wounds on his face and arms, dressing of them gave the wounds even bigger appearance.

He turned Jungkook's face gently from side to side and looked at the bandage covering his knuckles too. Taehyung just looked at this scene with fond eyes. Both Jungkook and himself were only child in their family and this brotherly love directed at his husband brought a warm feeling to Taehyung's heart.

"Are you hurt anywhere else?" Yoongi asked in a soft voice and Jungkook put a hand on his ribs.

"Just some bruises on my ribs. Nothing broken. Don't worry about it hyung." Jungkook said with a reassuring smile to the elder.

"Hmm... if I get to know that someone did this purposefully, I'll kill them." This time Yoongi spoke directly to Taehyung and the later gave a nod in agreement.

"Great. I'll help you too."

Jungkook looked back and forth at this conversation and gave a sigh. He won't be able to win against these two overprotective men so might as well not try.

They all walked in to the department, determined to find out everything today. It's about time they get to the bottom of this.

A/N - sorry about the short chapter. I had actually planned to reveal the culprits in today's chapter but it looks like today's gonna be a busy day too. So I thought i'll publish what i had written atleast. I'll try to give another update in the evening but not sure. Let's see how it goes.. 😍😍😍
