Things settled down after that whole fiasco. Mark had resigned and so did his friend Jackson. All the pranks were done by the two of them together so the latter also felt responsible for everything and decided to follow his friend.Namjoon wordlessly accepted their resignation. They both had been in Namjoon's company for a long time so he kind of felt upset but this whole thing really pissed him off so bad. He couldn't believe grown ass people would behave so irresponsibly like this.
Another reason for accepting their resignation was Jin's reaction for what happened to Jungkook. Jin came to the office right away when Namjoon told him about Jungkook and he was so angry after seeing the younger's state.
The fact that the person responsible for it had already resigned was the only thing that managed to calm him down. He insisted that Namjoon give the younger the rest of the week off and Jungkook had a hard time convincing he elder that it's not required.
Chenyeol apologised to everyone although everyone assured him that it's not his fault. It took a little time for him to get back to his usual self.
5 new people were recruited for the company to replace the fired and resigned staff. Kang Taehyun, a graduate fresh out of the university was hired as the technical assistant to Jungkook's team. He seemed to be a brilliant and an outgoing guy and the team warmed up to him in no time.
Choi Yeonjun, Huening kai and Choi Beomgyu were hired as the new field staff for Taehyung's team to fill the positions vacated by Mark and Jackson's leaving. Taehyung's team had to go through a bit of a rough patch till the 3 guys got familiar with the work.
Choi Soo-bin was the last person hired to Jungkook's team as a part of their field staff. He was bit of a shy guy but his handsome face seemed to be more than enough to make up for his shyness.
It didn't take long for the new guys to get the hang of things as all of them were quiet smart and fast learners. They also formed a tight friendship, despite being in two teams, which sort of changed the dynamic in the marketing department.
Since the constant nagging of the competition was out from their heads, everyone became friendly with eachother. The remaining people of the old teams were not that in to rivalry anyway.
This made Taehyung and Jungkook drop their act of fake bickering and the atmosphere of the department became much friendlier. The two team leaders were often seen having discussions about their work, helping each other so that both teams could benefit.
It was not a surprising sight for others to see Taehyung and Jungkook talking in the meeting room, documents spread throughout the table. Today, however, they were not talking about work.
Jungkook was talking with Taehyung about something work related earlier in the morning today when they were disturbed by Jisoo. The girl dared to give an eye roll to Jungkook before flashing her brightest smile at Taehyung.
Jisoo had attempted to flirt with Taehyung, right under the watchful eye of Jungkook. And as expected, the latter had become rather angry and jealous so Taehyung had been trying to fix things.
"Baby... I didn't flirt with her.. you know I would never do that right?" Taehyung asked in a pleading voice, while holding a thick file in his hand.
Jungkook was staring at the paper on the table. He underlined some context with the pen he was holding.
"But you didn't try to stop her also." Jungkook voice was thick with accusation and Taehyung groaned internally at that.

FanficWhat's the first rule of a competition??? For someone to win, someone else has to lose. You can't possibly have it both ways. Unfortunately for Taehyung, he had to learn that the hard way. He wanted to win. But he didn't want Jungkook to lose either...
