Namjoon tapped on to the microphone, getting the attention of all the people present at the hotel. He looked to the side to give a soft smile to Jin, who kind of looked nervous. Jin's answering smile was all that he needed to see.
"Uhh... good evening, everyone. Half of you guys know me but for those who doesn't, let me introduce myself. My name is Kim Namjoon, I'm the owner and CEO of Kim's Marketing firm."
"This beautiful man standing next to me is Mr Kim SeokJin, owner of Sunshine Marketing Agency. We both have two very special announcements to make and that's why we have invited all of you guys here today."
Namjoon paused a little to make sure that he had everyone's complete attention. This is the big moment that both him and Jin has been working for the past few weeks.
"First one, Sunshine Marketing Agency has been taken over by my firm. All the staff who had been working in Mr Jin's company will work in mine with immediate effect. Most of you will continue with your current job roles and positions except for few upper lever staff members."
Namjoon let few seconds to let this message sink in as he could see the shocked faces of Jin's staff as well as many of his own people. He turned to look at Jin again to see him giving soft smiles to his people, silently assuring them that things will be ok.
He knew that the relationship Jin have with his staff is quiet different from what he have with his own. Jin is a far more compassionate and a gentle man who genuinely cared for the people who work for him in a personal capacity. Namjoon cared for his staff too but it was more in a business level, rather than personal.
He quickly cleared his throat to get everyone's attention again before continuing with his speech.
"I would like to assure you all that nothing will change with regards to your jobs. You will continue to do the work that you always did and I hope we can build a better future for both the company and ourselves, together."
Jin was the first one to start clapping and soon everyone joined in. Namjoon looked at Jin with a soft smile before raising a hand and waited for the hall to become silent again. He then gently held Jin's hand and started to speak again.
"The second piece of announcement is more on a personal lever. I wish to informe you that this beautiful man, is in fact, my fiance."
A shocked gasps could be heard from all over the place and Namjoon knew that it's from both sets. He looked at Jin's face again and raised their intertwined hands to give a soft kiss to the back of Jin's hand.
"My fiance is stepping down from his company to pursue his interests in another field so our companies will face a merge. I know both these news are kind of shocking to you all but me and Jin have thought about it for a long time. And we believe this merge is the best decision for both companies."
"So that's it from my side." Namjoon said with a relieved smile and looked at Jin. "Jin, would you like to say something, ?"
Jin gave a soft smile to Namjoon and took the microphone from his hand. He took a deep breath and gave a beautiful smile before speaking up.
"Good evening, everyone. I'm Kim SeokJin. I hope we didn't shock you too much with this news. Like Namjoon said, we thought about this decision for a long time and I'm sure this is for the best. I have already spoken to my guys in the morning so there's not much that I have to say now."
"I expect your full support to Namjoon as you have done for me. We have already prepared a new office premises to accommodate everyone and I'm sure you will get along nicely. So good luck to everyone, and... uhh... enjoy the party."
