31 - Goodbyes.

Taehyung and Jungkook silently walked back to the department. Both were shaken up with what happened but there was a slight relief too. It felt good to finally be free from that secret.

When they reached the department, Taehyung gently held Jungkook's hand and stopped him.

"Koo.." Taehyung said in a soft voice and Jungkook looked at him with a smile. "Are you ok?"

Jungkook gave a nod as a response and pulled up Taehyung's hand to his mouth and gave soft kiss to it. He might not have a job anymore but as long as he had his husband with him, he was ok.

Taehyung chuckled a bit and gave a kiss to Jungkook's hand in return.

"You trust me right?" Taehyung asked with a smile and Jungkook gave a nod again.

"Of course I trust you Tae. We'll be fine as long as we have each other." Jungkook replied in a confident voice.

"That's my baby."

"Yep, only yours."

"So you wanna do this together or..."

Jungkook thought for few seconds before speaking up. "Yes, I think that should be better."

"Ok, let's get this show started then." Taehyung said in a cheery voice and they both went in to the department.

Everyone was busy with their own work so not many people noticed or reacted to the duo. But Jimin and Yoongi both noticed them and they slowly started to get up from their seats but Taehyung waved a hand to stop them.

He gave them a small nod before speaking up.

"Everyone!!" Taehyung called in a loud voice and everyone looked at his direction. "Can you all gather around here please? Me and... uhhh... Jeon would like to say something."

Yoongi looked at Jungkook with concern and Jungkook understood the question in those eyes. So he gave a nod to confirm that. They both looked back at Taehyung who was patiently waiting for everyone to come forward.

"So... I know this is a very short notice but both me and Jeon will not be working here from today."

Everyone looked utterly shocked and there were few gasps even. Both the team leaders were much loved and respected so it was definitely a surprise for them. Many have been working with one of them for years even.

Jimin looked really upset and Yoongi instinctively went closer to him. They have to ask from the couple what had happened but it's not that hard to guess. They just didn't think Namjoon would came to a decision like this though.

"Jimin and Yoongi should be able to handle things till... uh... Namjoon would say otherwise. I hope you guys would support the both of them and work as a team. I had a wonderful time working here with you guys and I'm definitely gonna miss you all."

Taehyung's voice slightly shock at the end and few people, including Jungkook and Jimin were able to pick up on this.

"I'm.. uhh... we are sorry to suddenly spin this on you guys. The reason is.. well...personal.. and I hope you will respect out decision. So.. uh.. keep in touch and all the best."

Jungkook quickly glanced at his husband. He assumed that Taehyung will tell the guys about the fact that they are married but it seemed like he will not. Jungkook actually thought it was better to disclose that too but as always, he trusted Taehyung's judgement and kept quiet.

Taehyung looked kind of lost at what to say after that and he looked at Jungkook. The latter understood the gesture and took a step closer to Taehyung. He looked at the faces of his team members and felt his throat tightening a bit.
