Chenyeol was having a hard time for the past few days but today, seeing Jungkook's wounded state was the last straw. He couldn't keep his mouth shut anymore. It's not that he tried to protect anyone, he was just too ashamed and scared to tell Taehyung what had happened.
Chenyeol was definitely not a ladies man, he never were. He was shy and introverted so normally girls are not that interested in him. Specially beautiful ones like Jenny.
That's why the girl's attention felt magical to him. She was the one who asked him for coffee and to be honest, Chenyeol was over the moon happy. He couldn't concentrate on work properly that day even.
They talked a bit about work as that was their common ground and also Jenny seemed to be very interested in the fact that Chenyeol is the strategic planner for his team. It was a slip of the tongue that Chenyeol mentioned that he indeed had the newest plans in his bag at that very moment.
The simple coffee turned in to a dinner date. Jenny was extremely sweet and flirtatious with him and even though Chenyeol felt a bit overwhelming with the fast pace they were going, he was too shy to say that.
Jenny made him feel things that were foreign to his heart and before the dinner was over, the girl had him fully wrapped around her finger. When Jenny suggested that they should go back to his place, Chenyeol immediately agreed.
One thing led to another and next thing he knew, he was making out with Jenny in his own home. But that's as far as they went that day and it had gotten quiet late by then so Jenny spent the night in Chenyeol's house. In a separate room of course.
The girl was already gone when Chenyeol woke up next day but he didn't think much about it. If anything, he was very excited to meet her in office.
Chenyeol has a habit of noticing if anyone had messed with his belongings and he noticed that his papers were kind of shuffled. An uneasy feeling came to his mind as he didn't remember taking them out of his bag last night.
But he dismissed that idea after few seconds, Jenny wouldn't do that to him right? Chenyeol was sure that they made a solid connection yesterday night.
But sadly, the girl's behaviour at the office proved him wrong. Jenny didn't look at him or acknowledged him in any way. If anything, she looked quiet smug, as if she knew Chenyeol had figured out what she did but he was too much of a coward to do anything about it.
And she was absolutely right. Chenyeol was devastated when Taehyung and his team had to suffer for his stupidity. At first, he didn't knew Jungkook's team had planned the same event. He wondered why Taehyung abruptly cancelled their event but his guilty conscience didn't let him ask about it from Taehyung.
But Namjoon's meeting got rid of any doubts he had. The other team had definitely used his stolen idea to make themselves victorious in the competition. And it was all Chenyeol's fault.
His team were furious about it, specially Mark and Jackson. They were so angry and was planning something for revenge even. Chenyeol tried to tell Taehyung about what happened but he just couldn't gather the courage.
But today morning, when he saw Jungkook's state, he couldn't hold back anymore. He asked Taehyung for a private conversation in the meeting room and told him everything that had happened.
That was the last piece Taehyung needed to complete the puzzle and after talking with Jungkook, they both went to Hoseok.

Jungkook shifted his gaze to Taehyung again. Although he's not the one with the blame, the tense atmosphere in the meeting room was making him a bit nervous. Luckily, his husband's presence was enough to calm his heart.
