The next day at the studio, the girls were talking to Brooke about her first date with Dominic.
"Did you ride the Giant Drop?" Maddie asked.
"We sure did." Brooke replied. "I remember when Paige was a scaredy cat when we rode the giant drop once."
"I was not a scaredy cat, Brooke!" Paige denied.
"Yeah, you were. We were all there." Chloe teased.
The girls then went into Studio A after Abby called them and like usual, their moms were behind them.
"All right, let's talk about what is going to happen this week." Abby said. "We are headed--"
Before Abby could complete what she was going to say, the door opened as the moms turned to the left and had shocked expressions, then Dominic, Abby and the girls looked at the doorway to see who it was and coming in was none other than Jill and what was different about her was that she no longer had auburn hair, she now had blonde hair.
"Mom, is it me, or does Christi have a doppelganger that escaped the nearest asylum?" Dominic asked Abby, referring about Jill having blonde hair as the moms and girls heard and tried not to laugh.
"That might be the case." Abby replied in a sotto voice.
"Hi, everybody." Jill greeted. "Abby, Dominic, can i talk to you two? I made a big mistake going to Candy Apples, i'll admit that it was a mistake and i'd really like for you to find a spot for My Little Kendall on the team like before."
Abby and her son looked at Jill like she had finally gone off the rails.
"Jill has gone off her rocker." Dominic muttered.
"She has." Abby agreed, then she and Dominic looked at Jill. "Jill, we're in the middle of rehearsal, you know how things work in this studio and we have a competition this weekend."
"Me and Kendall want to be there with you. Kendall can fit right in with this group like before." Jill said.
"Are you off the rails?!" Dominic exclaimed. "We wanted what was best for Kendall and you didn't even give us time to do that. The only thing you did was whine and gripe!"
"Dominic, are you and your mother going to turn my kid away because of a mistake i made, knowing my daughter's got talent and she belongs in this group!"
"Jill, we're in the middle of rehearsal! We cannot believe this!" Abby muttered.
"I know, right?" Dominic sighed as Jill headed to the front desk and came back with Kendall and the headshot of Kendall. Jill then walked her daughter over to the girls and they hugged her as Jill stood on Melissa's left, then Dominic gave a sharp whistle as everybody looked at him. "Girls, this is not about friends! This is my mother's business! If you want to see Kendall, invite her to your place!"
"Can you both find it in your hearts--"
"Jill, we'll be glad to talk to you at a later date!" Abby cut Jill off.
"All right." Jill replied.
"Resuming, we'll be going to Starpower in Grayslake, which isn't far from here, but still, it's a big competition. There's a lot of people from New York and New Jersey that will be there." Dominic said and after pyramid was done, assignments came up next. "Nia, Paige, Maddie, you three will be doing solos and for the group, Chloe, Maddie and Brooke and the fourth dancer will be a boy."
The girls and moms all cheered as Abby and Dominic whistled and coming in was Nick Dobbs, who was 14 and danced for Abby's studio for the teen team as the girls and moms hugged him and Dominic high fived him, then rehearsals began as the moms headed up to the observation room.
"Nice hair, Jill." Kelly commented.
"It somewhat looks cute on you." Melissa added.
"We thought at first it was Cathy when you walked in." Christi teased.
"Yeah." Holly stated.
"Abby and Dominic did not put My Little Kendall's photo on the pyramid and i believe that they should have." Jill complained.
"Jill, did you really think coming back through the door after you went to Cathy's and insisting that Abby and her son put Kendall's photo back on the pyramid would work? It didn't!" Christi responded.
"Kendall's dancing, that might be a good sign." Melissa observed and minutes later, while Paige was rehearsing her solo, Jill came in.
"Abby, Dominic, i know you're in the middle of rehearsal and all that, but can i talk to you two?" Jill asked.
"We have to finish Paige's solo rehearsal." Abby commented and once Paige's solo rehearsal was done, Abby and Dominic went to Jill. "Jill, we don't know how Cathy does it, but we work until it's perfect."
"That is what i want and i'm asking, are you going to let Kendall come back?" Jill wondered.
"You did not sign anything, you did not let anyone know that you were here and coming into Studio A, that is really inappropriate." Dominic added.
"I admit, it was, but i didn't have any choice and i thought you two might get that memo."
"We do not want to invest our energy into your kid and leave in six months because mom is not happy." Abby commented, then Kendall and Jill left and later that evening, they got a call from Carol, the casting director from the show Drop Dead Diva and she let them know that Maddie and Chloe won the roles and two days prior to competition, Abby showed their crowns and even Dominic's awards, much to the embarrassment of Maddie, Chloe and Dominic.
On saturday, Abby, Dominic, Gianna, the girls and moms were in Grayslake at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts for Starpower and as the girls were getting ready backstage and Nick was already in his costume after changing in a different room, Dominic noticed a white bow in Kendall's hair.
"Mom, i don't know if you've noticed, but i see Kendall with a white bow in her hair." Dominic informed Abby, who looked and saw that Kendall had a white bow in her hair.
"Good observation." Abby stated, then she turned to Kendall. "Kendall, who gave you that bow?
"My mom did, she put it in my hair." Kendall responded.
"Kendall, here's the thing, kids should not take things that do not belong to them, they should only take things that belong to them and to do that, they've got to put their name on it!" Dominic said.
"Kendall did not take it! Melissa had bows for everybody and i picked one up and put it in her hair!" Jill defended her daughter.
"Melissa doesn't own the studio, i do!" Abby exclaimed.
"Jill, i saw you do it." Dominic told Jill, who didn't have a response. "Everyone has had their hair done and none has a bow in their hair, you have wasted a tone of time and we don't have time."
"Brooke, we want to see you do your standing back tuck.' Abby ordered and Brooke did so.
"I'll do mine next." Paige stated.
"Paige, just so you know, that would not be a good idea because there's cement under the carpeting and you know that is how a lot of buildings are built." Dominic warned.
"What he said." Abby stated.
"Just once?" Paige said.
Dominic knew that this wasn't going to be good as Paige did her standing back tuck and the minute she landed, a cracking sound was heard and everybody in the dressing room cringed. Paige then limped over to a chair that was next to Kelly and she was in pain.
"Paige, are you able to curl your toes?" Abby wondered.
"I came down digging." Paige replied and Abby told Kelly that Paige would not be able to be in the group because of her injury, so it was going to be Brooke, Chloe, Maddie and Nick as Mackenzie, Kendall and Nia weren't in the group.
Dominic carried Paige to Kelly's vehicle, Kelly thanked him and took Paige to the hospital and for the competition, the group dance got 1st, Maddie's solo got 1st, Paige's solo got 6th and Nia's solo got 9th.
