It was Monday and that was the day Dominic was being released from the hospital and in Dominic's hospital room, he was asleep as the time was 8:00 am and the sun was rising. Dominic began to stir and he opened his eyes, turned to the left and saw that Abby was sitting at his bedside.
"Hi, Dom." Abby said, leaning down and giving him a hug.
"Hello, mom." Dominic responded and he hugged her back.
"How are you feeling?" Abby asked.
"Feeling better."
"Good to know and i'll tell you a secret, Nationals will be held in Beverly Hills, but we'll be rehearsing in Los Angeles." Abby informed.
"That sounds great."
"You ready to head home?"
"You know it, mom."
Dominic pulled the hospital blankets off him, then he sat on the bed and after doing that, he got the clothes that Abby brought and walked slowly and went into the bathroom, where he took a shower as Dr. Harrison walked in.
"I can tell Dominic is in the shower." Dr. Harrison said.
"He is." Abby said and then a minute later, she heard the shower being turned off. "And momentarily, he'll be out."
The door that led to the bathroom opened and standing in the doorway was Dominic, who was now decked out in a tracksuit and sneakers with his hair in a ponytail.
"Looking good, Dom." Abby complimented.
"Thanks, mom." Dominic responded, then he went over and gave Dr Harrison a hug. "Dr. Harrison, thanks for all the care while i was in here for my appendectomy and the post-appendectomy and i'll take short walks and will be back for follow ups on my recovery progress."
"You are very welcome and glad to hear." Dr. Harrison responded as she hugged him back, then she headed out of the hospital room.
"Mom, i'm ready to roll when you are." Dominic said.
"Let's do it." Abby commented.
Abby and Dominic both exited the hospital room and made their way towards the elevator and the dance teacher took her son by the hand as they walked, then they approached the elevator and Dominic pushed the button for the elevator to take them down to the second floor as Abby was parked in the Erie-Ontario self parking garage and once the elevator arrived, they got on.
"Dominic, i let your school know about your appendectomy, so they're giving you two weeks off, your homework will be brought by someone and the next week, i'll bring it to you and once you're done, i'll take it to your school through those two weeks and in addition, as soon as we get back to the condo, i'll be meeting with the girls and moms at the studio so we can catch our flight to New York, so Jennine will watch you and i'll keep you posted."
"All right."
One minute later, they were on the second floor, crossed the pedestrian bridge over Fairbanks Court and were in the parking garage, there, they got into Abby's Escalade and with that, Abby began driving to ground level and once she did that, she made a right turn on Erie Street, turned right on McClurg Court and made another left on North Water street and they arrived at the Riverview Condos and Abby drove into the parking garage and parked in her space, then she and Dominic both walked to the elevator and it took them to the 28th floor and there, they entered their condo as Maryen was sitting on the couch with Jennine.
"Hey, grandma." Dominic said.
"Hello, Dom." Maryen responded as she got up and went over and gave her grandson a hug and Jennine hugged him next.
"We can tell you're feeling better."
"Couldn't wait to get out of the hospital."
"We don't blame you." Abby stated. "I'm about to head to the studio and meet with the girls and their moms."
"Rachael and i will alternate taking good care of Dominic while you're in New York." Jennine said to Abby, who nodded and then exited the condo to head back down to the parking lot to her vehicle so she could head to the studio and Dominic went into his room and changed into a red crewneck t-shirt and red walkaround pants, did some short walks in the condo and relaxed.
The next day was February 14th, which was Valentine's Day and in Dominic's bedroom, Dominic was sitting on his bed looking at Navy Pier, Lake Michigan and Lake Shore Drive and Rachael came in from downstairs with the Valentine's card from Brooke.
"Hey, Dominic. Abby just called and told me to give you the Valentine's card." Rachael said.
"All righty, let's see what it says." Dominic stated as he opened the envelope, pulled out the card and began to read it and the card said: Dominic, your name starts with D, so does dear, i hope we can be together forever so i can call you dear. Happy Valentine's Day - Brooke.
Dominic smiled at the valentine's note that Brooke sent him, knowing that she liked him.
Meanwhile, in New York, Brooke was in the hotel room that she, Paige and Kelly shared as the Abby Lee Dance Company was preparing for the competition which was actually going to be held in Paramus, New Jersey and also, they were auditioning for a Joffrey Ballet Scholarship.
"Brooke, here's the valentine's card from Dominic
It said: Roses are red, violets are blue, if you see this message, nothing is as sweet as you. Happy Valentine's Day - Dominic
Brooke's face turned red as she smiled at the note that Dominic wrote, knowing that he liked her back as Kelly and Paige grinned.
"It's obvious that she and Dominic are together." Paige said.
"They are, we've known that since they were little." Kelly added, then she sent a text to Dominic and approved of the relationship and the text also said 'Dom, you treat my daughter good or you'll feel my wrath, got it?' and in response, Dominic texted her back and said 'Got it, Kelly'. Then minutes later, Brooke talked to Abby and she also approved that Brooke was now in a relationship with Dominic.
"Brooke, you be good to my son or there is gonna be trouble, all right?" Abby told Brooke.
"Got you, Miss Abby." Brooke replied.
"Good."
Through that week, the ALDC rehearsed and went to their Joffrey Ballet School Audition to hopefully win a scholarship, but Cathy's crew was there as well and At Starbound that weekend, it didn't go well for the Abby Lee Dance Company as their group, Hurt Them First got 10th and the Candy Apples Dance Center group routine, Almost Heaven got 9th and that meant that Cathy's team finally beat Abby's team and for the solos, Maddie ran off the stage during her solo, In My Heart and didn't place and Chloe saved the day by getting 1st and Kendall got 7th. Chloe wound up winning the scholarship from Joffrey Ballet and Abby called Dominic and let him know how the competition went.
The next day, Brooke visited Dominic and at one point, kissed him and they planned for their first date when the weather got warmer at one point.
