Chapter 17: Candy Apples' Revenge?

The next monday, Abby and Dominic talked about Starbound and after pyramid, they talked about what was going to happen.

"This week, Nia, you're the leader of this group." Dominic informed as the girls cheered for Nia. "Remember, it'll be ten times more work this weekend and we'll be heading to Starbound again, this time it's going ot be in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina."

Everybody cheered about going to Myrtle Beach.

"All right, Kendall, you will be doing a duet with Mackenzie called Reservations For Two, Chloe, you'll be doing a solo called Leave The Light On. Maddie, no solo this week and for the group Maddie, Chloe, Brooke, Kendall and Nia will be in it and also, the day after competition will be Dominic's 16th birthday."

The girls and moms all clapped for the soon to be 16 year old young man as he nodded.

"All right, let's get rolling. Moms, you can head out and girls, spread apart."

Throughout the week, they rehearsed and that wednesday had some drama as Jill, Kelly and Holly were pestering Melissa about her personal life except for Christi, who defended Melissa from the pestering and it made Melissa mad. She told Jill that she could bite her behind and went downstairs as Dominic went to see what was going on as Mackenzie went upstairs and she came back downstairs crying.

"Mel, are you ok?" Dominic asked.

"No, Dom, those other moms except for Christi have been talking about me and they are horrible!" Melissa ranted.

"They were talking about mom except for Christi." Mackenzie told him as she still cried and the younger Miller gave her a hug. "Why are they doing this to mom?"

"Kenzie, i've seen this a lot of times and those other moms are jealous, at least Christi was supporting your mother." Dominic answered, then he turned to Melissa. "Mel, like the old saying goes, let it go in one ear and come out of the other. I'll explain everything to mom."

Melissa nodded as she headed out of the studio, got in her vehicle and left. Dominic went into Studio A and explained to Abby what had happened, they both headed up into the observation room and ripped Jill, Kelly and Holly a new one for talking about Melissa's personal life and they commended Christi for defending Melissa and because of Melissa storming out, Abby and Dominic talked about it and they decided not to give Maddie a solo.

Later on that day of the first rehearsals, Dominic was checking out the Starbound competition to find out who was going to be competing there and he saw something that made him groan with a frustrated look on his face as Abby and Gianna came in.

"Hey, Dominic. What's wrong?" Abby asked seeing frustration on her son's face.

"He must have seen something that made him frustrated." Gianna predicted.

"Mom, Gia, i found out that Cathy and her little leeches are going to be at Starbound and it's obvious that they're out for revenge after we beat them last month in Akron for beating us in New Jersey back in February." Dominic responded and that made Abby groan in frustration as well and Gianna rolled her eyes in annoyance. "She's entered a routine in every category we are in and from what i've checked out, they have a group dance, Justice has a solo to go up against Chloe and get this Justice has a duet with some boy."

"Cathy doesn't have another boy." Gianna said.

"She brought in some ringer, a 10 year old boy named Drazen Wilmers who came from some other studio, though Cathy may try, she knows she can't beat us."

"You know it." Abby agreed, high fiving Dominic as they continued to rehearse.

That saturday, Abby, Dominic, Gianna, the girls and moms were seen in Myrtle Beach arriving the North Myrtle Beach High School, where Starbound was being held at and when the van stopped at the entrance, they all got out with their bags and walked to the entrance, entered and got checked in. Then they entered their dressing room and Chloe, Kendall and Mackenzie got ready for their dances and then minutes later, they heard Cathy's voice, but they didn't let them phase them and Dominic looked at the Starbound program with Abby.
