Peter Parker came home from Midtown High at around four in the afternoon. It was his first day as a sophomore and for him it was mediocre. Aside from his conflicts with Flash, he got to see Liz Allen. A beautiful girl who he had been crushing on since he was a freshman. Peter knew deep down inside that Liz would never go for a guy like him, especially with the nickname "Penis Parker". He hated that name and even more so when Flash would rub it in his face.

Peter walked into the living room of his apartment and saw his Aunt May sitting on the couch with an unfamiliar man. Peter stood frozen behind the couch with his backpack still on his shoulder.

"Oh hi, Peter!" his aunt greeted him, "this is Mr. Stark. He's here about the internship you never told me about."

"Oh I think he wanted to surprise you," Tony explained, then looking at Peter, "isn't that right kid?"

Peter was confused, almost weirded out by what was happening. He had never heard of an internship, let alone with Tony Stark. He had never even met him before today. Peter knew of Tony Stark, actually idolized him, but had never even breathed the same air as him.

"Uh, um y-yeah," Peter muttered, "yeah, it was a surprise."

"This internship will allow Peter to work with me at Stark Tower as well as grant him scholarship money for college," Tony explained to his aunt.
"Oh, so this internship involves money? L-like a grant?" Peter asked.

"Yup, money and everything," Tony smiled, standing up from the couch before turning to May, "may I speak with your nephew privately?"

"Oh, of course!" May exclaimed.

Tony came around the couch and followed Peter to his bedroom. Peter was bewildered by what was happening. He figured it was something important enough that Tony Stark came to his apartment personally. So whatever lie Tony was fabricating he decided to play along with it. Peter is rather familiar with keeping secrets.

"So this is your room?" Tony asked, looking around.

"Y-yeah, this is it..." Peter trailed, sitting on the bottom bunk of his bed.

Tony pulled out his phone and showed him the video of Spiderman stopping a bus with his body. Peter's eyes widened for a second and he felt his face run pale. "This you?"

Peter looked up, "What? N-no of course not."

Tony raised a brow in disbelief, "Really?"

"That's on YouTube right?" Peter tried to defend himself, "people edit stuff on there all the time."

"Yeah but this isn't edited," Tony explained, "I know this is you kid. You don't have to lie to me."

"How did you find out? I-I haven't told anyone."

"I have my ways," Tony started looking at the computers on his desk, "these yours?"

"Y-yeah," Peter muttered.

"Store? Friends? Dumpster?"

Peter looked at the floor almost in shame at the mention of a dumpster. Peter and his aunt didn't have much money, they couldn't even afford computers from Goodwill, let alone Best Buy.

"Dumpster."

"No shame, kid," Tony reassured him, "you work with what you got."

There was an awkward moment of silence between the two men as Peter struggled to find his words. He didn't want Tony Stark of all people to think he was some kind of dumpster diver. All he ever wanted was to meet Tony Stark in person and explain how much he inspired him. But his first impression was his below average apartment with his literal garbage computers. Peter would be lying if he said he wasn't embarrassed.
