My heart was beating profusedly inside my chest. She was fucking raped?!
Tumayo ako agad mula sa kama niya. I was pacing back and forth. My blood was boiling—it was way past my boiling point.
“Oh, my god. Shit. Fucking shit.”
Hindi ko alam kung saan ako magsisimula. Nag-iinit ang ulo ko. Wala pang ilang minuto nung malaman ko iyon nung hinila ko si Maicy patayo. “Tumayo ka dyan. Pupunta tayo sa presinto.”
“A-ano?”
I looked at her. “Maicy, we can’t let the bastard who did that to you walk free!” I snapped at her. If I catch that devil, I will kill him!
Hinila ko siya pababa ng hagdan. Gusto kong gisingin si Mama pero nagmakaawa sa akin si Maicy na ‘wag kong sabihin. I wanted to... I wanted to tell Mama but Maicy was begging.
“Fine,” I seethed. Nagdrive ako papunta sa presinto. My head was pounding. Hindi ko alam kung paano kami nakarating dito na hindi nabubunggo. Nasa labas na kami ng presinto nung hindi bumababa si Maicy. “Baba,” I ordered.
Ilang segundo na siyang nakaupo doon.
“Ate...” she said, tears threatening to fall once again. “Ate... umuwi na tayo, please...”
Bumuntong-hininga ako. “No,” matigas kong sabi. “Maicy, you’ve been wronged, okay? Kailangan nating idemanda kung sino mang hudas ang bumaboy sa ‘yo!” I said and then opened the door. Nakalabas na ako pero nasa loob pa rin si Maicy.
“Ate...” she said and she started sobbing. “Ate, sorry...”
“Maicy, bakit ka ba nagsosorry sa akin? You’re a victim here.”
Iyak pa siya siya nang iyak.
“Hindi ako na-rape,” she said. She closed her eyes and then continued. “Ate, may nangyari sa amin ni kuya Uno.”
And my heart stopped beating.
