I don't know what words to write on this paper
At this time of year it seems I'm unable
I didn't think this year would yield this
But this is something I don't want to miss
The many moments have led to this
The heartbreak and lies I've come to expect
But last night I was filled with complete bliss
I didn't know you had this effect
In times of beginning there's always an ending
And this is one I'm happy to leave
Although my heart may need some mending
There is one thing I truly believe
We can make ourselves over at any time
Changing our lives isn't a crime
Become who you want at any time of year
And those who love you will still be near
