You once enveloped my whole life
I didn't even understand strife.
The world held endless possibilities
Now I wish my world would freeze.
When I was younger I didn't know
The world was this horrid show.
You taught me how to act,
But I didn't take it for a fact.
Which is good on my part,
Because lying was your art.
I wanted so much to be like you
But now, I rather stay true
To Myself.
Strife has been in my life for far too long,
But I know how you handled it was wrong
And from then I've grown strong.
You would leave when times got too tough
That's what made our lives so rough.
Now we hardly even see each other
And our relationship has never been better.
