"And you're sure you'll be okay?"
Jimin sighed, giving his brother a bored look.
"I'll be okay in about two months when this baby is in my arms and I get my body back," he joked, Yoongi snorting in the background.
Jin huffed, throwing his arms in the air.
"Okay, okay. Fine. I get it, you want me to leave you alone," Jin rolled his eyes at his brother's sarcasm, dropping a kiss on his forehead.
"I can see when I'm not wanted."
"Can you?" Yoongi butted in with a grin.
Jin laughed at him mockingly.
"Ha ha ha. My apologies for worrying. It's just, you know, the last time I saw Jimin, he was covered in his own blood and being wheeled into an ambulance on a stretcher."
Although Jin tried to hide it and assured Jimin that he was fine, the younger knew that he was still traumatized by what happened.
He'd apparently been incredibly shaken up, and Jimin could only imagine what was going through his head seeing the brother he raised bleeding out and on the brink of death.
Because of it, Jin had been stuck to Jimin's side like glue the past two months, and although he loved his brother dearly, Jimin really just wanted some alone time with Yoongi.
Jimin was grateful, he really was. The weeks following the accident were tough. He needed to be surrounded by his loved ones. He needed the comfort and he needed the support.
It was hard, healing both mentally and physically, as he was on bed rest since and had been trying to let Yoongi in slowly but surely.
Being stuck in the same spot all day had him bored out of his mind, and yeah, the first few days felt like a dream, not having to move, having everyone do things for him, but it soon got old really fast.
Yoongi tried to cheer him up, sitting and eating dinner with him, watching movies, even playing board games, and Jimin appreciated the effort, especially since the boys had been taking a lot of heat recently.
After Jimin had been spotted being loaded into an ambulance outside the hotel, it didn't take long for the whole world to know what was happening, and pretty soon, all anyone could talk about was Jimin and Yoongi's baby.
Jimin needed to be on bed rest, someone had to watch over him constantly, and although Taehyung was a great help, he still had college to attend to.
The band was regularly bombarded by fans and paparazzi alike, and after lots of talking and debate, the band decided to postpone the last leg of their tour and head back home.
It was a hard choice to make for the band, but Jin was very adamant about not leaving his baby brother alone, and the rest agreed that it may be better for them to be around, so the boy wasn't as stressed and worried about him and Taehyung being home by themselves.
The whole US portion was postponed, and initially, there was some serious outrage from fans, but after the official statement was published, people were more understanding and lots of kind words poured in online for Jimin and his baby.
After he was cleared, the boys flew back home, and Yoongi helped Jimin get settled in his apartment.
And that's where he resigned for the rest of time.
At first, the parents talked about staying temporarily at Jimin's home in Busan after the baby was born, and then moving more permanently to Seoul to be closer to Yoongi's work, but Jimin quickly realized that everyone was too far away, therefore, Taehyung's old room in their apartment was now getting an extreme makeover, the boys going above and beyond to make the baby's room special.
Jimin was happy with how it was coming along. All the furniture, clothing, and other miscellaneous things picked up on their excursion with Dawon were placed neatly around the room.
The cute stuffed animals Yoongi picked out were waiting in the crib. The clothes, socks, and shoes picked by the members were folded in the closet, the changing table- a present from Eun-Jung- was on the opposite wall, and next to the large rocking chair the Jung Family (Dawon, Junho, and their daughter) had gifted them.
Two months went by incredibly slow, and even though he was doing schoolwork or just hanging out with Yoongi and the other guys most of the time, Jimin was more than excited when Hyuna finally gave him the green light to go outside and walk around for some fresh air.
Albeit, he'd been warned to not over-exert himself, and Jin had had several doctors clear him after Hyuna before he even entertained the thought of letting him free, but the newly brown haired boy was just happy to be able to go out and do something.
Yes, he'd also experienced a 'quarantine haircut' moment.
The pink was growing out, his hair was getting long, and he felt like a mess.
Taehyung had been in the process of grabbing the scissors to chop his hair when Jimin chickened out and suggested they maybe ask a professional for help.
So, the boys' stylist offered to come by and fix his hair.
When the woman was done, Jimin not only looked good, but he felt a whole lot better too.
"You ready?" Yoongi asked, coming out of the hallway with what looked like one of his hoodies. He was slipping on an overcoat, face mask dangling from one ear.
"Mhhm. Are you really not going to tell me where we're going?" Jimin questioned, hands wrapping around his stomach.
"If I told you, that would defeat the purpose of a surprise, wouldn't it?"
The older man grinned, almost in a sly manner, holding out the black hoodie to Jimin.
He smiled shyly, taking it, and slipping the material over his head, practically bathing in the scent that was 'Yoongi'. His heart fluttered in his chest at the simple, caring gesture. He hadn't even asked, and yet, Yoongi just knew it was something the younger wanted.
It was actions like these that had Jimin falling in love with the man all over again.
"Hmm. I suppose you're right," Jimin sighed, "Although you did ask me to dress in my finest, so-" he pointed down at his sweats, to which Yoongi laughed. "-I was just trying to get a general idea of what we were doing."
Jimin was about to be in his seventh month, so he was- of course- showing.
All of his clothes were from pre-pregnancy, and he'd been bedridden for the better part of two months, so he'd only worn pajama pants and Yoongi's oversized t-shirts.
When the older man said he wanted to take him out, Jimin smiled at the idea of putting on some nice clothes and going out.
That was until he realized none of them fit him anymore, and the only thing he found comfortable were sweatpants, baggy shirts, and hoodies.
"Well, I think you look perfect, for where we're going," the older replied with a smile, grabbing Jimin's small hands in his own.
And they stayed like that for a few moments, no doubt about it that both felt the unspoken, electrifying, tension between them.
Jimin took this moment to memorize every part of Yoongi's face.
His thick, dark, eyebrows, rounded nose, the way his cheeks puffed just slightly when he smiled. His eyes, angled and sharp, sparkled like crystals in the sun when he was happy.
Yoongi cleared his throat, moving to put the mask on his other ear.
"We should probably get going," he said, pulling another one out of his coat for Jimin. "We have reservations with your brother later, so we don't want to be late."
Jimin missed the warmth of Yoongi's hands around his own but smiled as the man carefully looped the mask around his ears, cupping Jimin's cheeks ever so gently after he had pulled the material over his nose and mouth.
"Okay," Jimin replied, voice slightly muffled, as Yoongi nodded, and grabbed one of his hands to walk out the door.
