The first week of their vacation was spent on the beach.

Taehyung and Jimin would splash in the water, sit in the sun, read books, or make sandcastles like little kids.

The members were always joking around, trying to throw one another in the surf. Namjoon kept picking up little crabs and showing Jimin, while Jungkook found a weird looking dead fish floating on the surface and began chasing Taehyung with it.

At night, Jin would bring out his guitar and they would play songs or absentmindedly compose things around a campfire, everyone relaxing in the sand.

Jimin couldn't think of a time when he'd been happier.

Laughing so much his cheeks hurt and seeing how relaxed and happy his brother was, just enjoying life.

Taehyung hit it off with Jungkook, and Jimin was glad to see someone new making his best friend smile.

He himself spent a lot of time with Yoongi, which he suspected was someone trying to play cupid.

Even though it seemed they were polar opposites, they actually had some stuff in common.

Yoongi loved music with a passion.

Listening to the way he talked about it, Jimin could see as much.

One day they were walking on the beach when he spilled his life story to Jimin.

"My parents bought me a piano when I was three. They said I took to it like a duck to water. I grew up practicing hours every day, winning competition after competition. My parents spent so much time and effort into traveling, teachers, even the best piano their money could buy, I think my father thought I was going to be some kind of kid prodigy concert pianist."

Yoongi always got a little sad when he thought of his father, Jimin could see it in his eyes.

"I guess that's why it came as such an unwanted shock when I turned twelve, and I told them about my dream of becoming a rapper. Obviously, they didn't approve. I spent years fighting with them, trying to make a name for myself, hell, I even ran away a few times." he chuckled, thinking about his younger days.

Jimin's eyes were wide in amazement. Although he could sense tension between the two, Yoongi still loved the man.

The blonde sighed, slowly continuing their trek down the beach, kicking the sand a little with every step.

"When I was seventeen, I had this gig at a small club. Imagine my surprise when I looked out in the audience and saw my father sitting at the bar, watching me," he smiled a little at the memory. "After the gig, he came up to me and gave me a hug. No words, no indication that he was proud or thought my songs were good, but I knew. The support was there. After that, I went back home. My parents didn't talk as much about the future or what I was doing was this huge mistake, and everything seemed to be okay," the two stopped walking, as Yoongi shoved his hands in his pockets.

There was a small breeze, and Jimin shivered ever so lightly, tugging at the sleeves of his sweater.

"A few months later, my father had a heart attack. He was gone, just like that, in an instant. I didn't get to say goodbye."

Jimin was shocked, to say the least. He hadn't expected that.

He reached his hand out, resting it on Yoongi's shoulder and whispering, "I'm so sorry."

Yoongi smiled sadly at him, his dark brown eyes churning. He moved his hand up, settling it on top of Jimin's, before grabbing it and letting them fall to their side. They kept walking.

"I'm not. Things were looking up for us. I could tell my father was really starting to accept who I was, and I'm happy with that. My mom, well, she was so strong. When I graduated and turned eighteen, she insisted I take the money my father left and take a chance on my dreams. She worked day and night to support herself while I traveled the country, auditioning hundreds of times, selling my tracks for less than a pack of gum, going to underground rap concerts..."

Jimin blushed when he realized Yoongi had never let go of his hand. He relished in the warmth of the older's palm against his own.

"She sounds amazing. I would love to meet her."

Yoongi smiled, squeezing Jimin's hand a little. "I think you two would get along well."

For the past two days, Yoongi and Jimin had been dancing around each other, flirting and pulling back, talking and laughing like they'd been close for years.

Something just felt right when Jimin was with Yoongi. He knew the older felt the same.

"YAH!"

They turned in unison, seeing Jin in an apron, holding a spatula, and yelling from the patio.

"DINNER, LOVEBIRDS!"

Yoongi flipped the man off with the hand not holding Jimin's, smirking and shaking his head.

Jimin laughed as he regretfully pulled his hand from Yoongi's racing the man back to the house.

One thing Jimin loved about their vacation was movie nights.

All of them would come together at the end of the day, and sit eating popcorn and other snacks.

Every person got their turn to pick something, whether it was Netflix, Youtube, or even a DVD.

Tonight was Taehyung's night, and he was quick to pop in Tangled, smiling like a small child as the opening scene began to play.

Jin and Namjoon looked funnily enough entranced, which made Jimin giggle, while Yoongi looked like he was on the verge of falling asleep.

But what's new.

Jungkook was behind Taehyung, not really watching the movie, more focused on the older boy in front of him.

Jimin smirked.

After a few hours of Taehyung's squeals, Namjoon and Jin's questions, Jungkook's snide remarks, and Yoongi's snoring, the members decided it was time to retire for the night.

Somehow, Yoongi and Jimin were mysteriously ditched to clean-up. The two had been abandoned together a lot over the past couple of days.

Jimin knew what was happening. He wasn't stupid.

The others saw the chemistry they had, the awkward blushes and shy smiles.

The tingly sensation Jimin got when they touched, or the way his heart fluttered in his chest when Yoongi gave him his signature gummy smile.

He just wasn't naive enough to think that something was actually going to happen.

I mean, obviously, he wished.

Jimin shook himself out of his thoughts, balancing most of the empty bowls and cups on his arms.

Yoongi snorted, watching Jimin's balancing act when he only had two glasses.

"You have food in your hair."

"Fantastic," Jimin groaned, huffing at the thought of his hair dirty.

For some unknown reason, Jungkook had jerked, scared of the part where Rapunzel's 'mother' popped out of nowhere, sending his popcorn everywhere.

After they put everything in the sink, Yoongi reached out and plucked the kernels from the younger's fluffy, pink hair.

Suddenly, the air felt heavy, almost as if an electrical current raced up Yoongi's arm and to Jimin's body.

It made his heart beat twice as fast, breath caught in his throat.

Yoongi's cheeks looked flushed, and his dark brown eyes were dilated and hooded.

They stood like that for what felt like hours, both breathing heavily, testing out the waters, and trying to decide if it was worth leaning in.

Finally, Jimin had enough.

He reached out, grabbed Yoongi's shoulders, yanked him close, and kissed him.
