Jimin let the blonde walk into the apartment, shutting the door slowly. He was trying to stall his actions as long as he could.

Although Yoongi looked calm, Jimin could see the raging storm just below the surface of his skin. His hands were balled, knuckles white, shoulders stiff, eyes fiery, and jaw clenched tight.

Jimin's hands automatically went to cover his stomach protectively. It was something he found himself doing more and more without realizing.

"Do you want something to drink?" the younger mumbled, feeling as if the silence would swallow him.

"I want to know why you would lie to me."

Fury bubbled up in Jimin's chest.

This man had the audacity to...?

He snarled, turning on his heel to go to the kitchen. "Oh, that's hilarious coming from you."

Jimin's phone buzzed, and he looked down to see another text from Taehyung telling him he was on his way.

The boy picked up his half-finished tea, no longer thirsty. His grip was tight as he made his way to dump it out, hearing Yoongi shuffle in the living room behind him.

"I'm not the one trying to hide my child from me!"

Jimin practically threw the mug in the sink, barely even flinching when it clattered in the steel bowl. He spun around in rage.

"I was never going to keep the baby from you, you were still going to be listed on the birth certificate and all official documents-"

Yoongi scoffed, crossing his arms.

"Right, you were just never going to tell me about them. You were going to let me continue living my life not knowing that I had a son or daughter living their life, without a father."

Jimin huffed, throwing his arms in the air, upset.

"I don't know what I was planning to do! Yoongi, I just found out a couple of weeks ago, and the first doctor's appointment was yesterday! I needed time, I needed to think about-"

Yoongi's hands suddenly slammed into the island counter dividing the two, Jimin jumping a little at the noise.

"Jimin, this isn't a dispute over an insignificant object! It's a human being! It's my fucking child!"

"If I can't trust you how do you think I can trust you with a baby!?"

Silence.

The air was clearly charged. They were both breathing hard, muscles tense as they stared each other down. Jimin tried to keep his emotions in check, but it was so goddamn hard when the source of all his problems was only an arm's length away!

It was stupid too because all he could think was that Yoongi didn't care about him. He only cared about the baby. That anyone else could be standing where Jimin was and Yoongi would be arguing the same way.

It was selfish, he knew, but was it so wrong to just want him to apologize?

To want the older man to admit that he'd made a mistake, and even if he didn't feel for Jimin anymore, at least he could've admitted that he'd broken a promise.

He cheated, and lied, and...

Jimin just wanted him to apologize. He didn't need a reason or anything, just needed confirmation.

Yoongi looked genuinely confused, as he tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows, hands still clenched at his sides.

"Why can't you trust me anymore?"
