Nessa's POV
The first day of sophomore year is tomorrow, I am so excited because this is the year that I get to be cheerleader with my best friend Mads Lewis, we have been besties since birth and we have always done everything together so becoming cheerleaders together will be so much fun
"Hey Mads"
"Hey Ness you ready?"
"Hundred percent"
"Ok let's go it's a long walk"
We always walked to school because the bus is always loud and smells like weed, and our school isn't to far from our houses
"Do you think that we'll actually get on the team" Mads asked while we were walking
"Only if we get on Cynthia and Lauren's good side"
Cynthia and Lauren are like the means girls of the school, their juniors and love to to bully the sophomores and freshmen, especially the freshman, but luckily Mads and I haven't been tortured by them
"We better get on their good side", Mads said and I agreed with her
We got to school and went to the front office to get our schedules, we separated and I was going to my first but not paying attention because I bumped into Josh
"Watch where your going" he hissed
"Oh sorry I didn't mean to sorry", I said
I quickly went to my first class, wow I can't believe that I bumped into Josh Richards, he is really bad, he gets in fights a lot and is always stealing things from people, I can't lie he is he hot but still, his best friend Jaden is pretty bad too, Mads kinda has a crush on him but she'll never date
*Time Skip To Lunch*
I forgot how big the lunchroom was so it was a little hard to find Mads, when I found her I told her what happened
"You bump into Josh!" she said
"Yeah I can't believe it ugh"
"Well hopefully you don't see him again, I mean, he can like hurt you" she said worriedly
"Yeah"
Moments later we saw Cynthia and Lauren come up to our table
"Are you guys sophomores?" Cynthia asked
"Yes" we said
"Well we are have cheer tryouts in the gym on Friday and you guys can come and show us what you can do" Lauren added
"Really!" Mads exclaimed
"Yep but don't get too comfortable, you might fail" Cynthia said with a rude smile on her face
"Oh" said Mads
"Well bye" Lauren said, and they both went to another table
"That doesn't make me feel confident" I said to Mads
"It's ok she said we might fail so that means that there's a possibility that we can make the team" Mads explained
"True" I said
After lunch I went to the rest of my classes, when school was over, Mads and I walked home and I said bye as I walked into my house, I changed and watched tv until it was time for bed, as I was laying in bed I couldn't stop thinking about running into Josh, I really hope I don't see him again
