PART TWENTY-SIX

When I got home I new that this was gonna be a difficult task, I need to book a flight to New York, find a place to stay if I can't find my dad. And I'm not even sure if Josh is actually with them, I guess I have to call my dad

Dad: Hey Nessa I was just about to call you what's up

Nessa: Uh I need to talk to you about Josh

Dad: Oh yeah is he with you he isn't returning his dads calls

Nessa: Wait so he's not with you guys

Dad: Why would he be he should be with you

Nessa: We kinda got in a fight because of some things he mom was saying and he just left

Josh's Dad: What!?

Dad: What do you mean he left

Nessa: Most of his stuff is gone and so is his car

Dad: I need you to come here in New York, I'll send you the info ok?

Nessa: Ok

I hung up and started packing, Josh's dad sounded really mad, I really hope we find him before he blows

Once I was finished packing my dad already texted me the information, I took an Uber to the airport and was on the phone with my dad until I got on the plane, when I got on called I called Mads

Mads: Heyyyy you just arrived right?

Nessa: Are your serious

Mads: What

Nessa: It's only 9:00pm

Mads: Yeah doesn't it take like 9-8 hours to get to New York

Nessa: Yeah but I had to pack, get to the airport, get my bags checked, and all that other stuff

Mads: So your on the plane?

Nessa: Yeah

Mads: Ok I hope you find him

Nessa: Well I'm not sure about that anymore

Mads: Wait what

Nessa: My dad called me and him and Josh's dad don't know where he is, and when Josh's dad found out that he wasn't with me he sounded really mad

Mads: Oh so Jaden was right

Nessa: What are you talking about

Mads: Jaden was telling me it might have not been a idea for you to go to New York alone because when Josh's dad gets mad, he gets like violent mad

Nessa: I think I'll be fine he's not gonna hurt me I'm Josh's girlfriend

Mads: You sure?

Nessa: Yeah of course

Mads: Ok then byeee

Nessa: Byeeeeee

I hung up and put my headphones on, I really need to listen to relaxing music right now

When the plane ride was finally over I walked out and immediately saw my dad, I ran up and hugged him it's been so long since we've been face to face

"Hey sweetheart how've you been" my dads said

"I'm good, a little worried but ok for the most part"

"Don't worry we'll find him, let's get your stuff his dad is waiting for us outside" he said putting his arm around me

We got my stuff and went out to the car, Josh's dad was in the divers seat and he looked super pissed

"We probably would have found Josh already if we didn't have to pick up your daughter Mathew"

"Relax Jason we're here now let's go"

The car ride was pretty awkward, Jason was making rude and unnecessary comments, like I get that he's mad but damn

We got to the apartment and my dad helped me get my bags out the car but Jason just walked in totally forgetting about us, we got my stuff and walked in the building, when we got in the elevator I talked to my dad about Jason

"Hey dad do you think that Jason will be ok" I asked him

"I don't know, he's just scared for Josh and it's really taking a toll on him"

"Yeah I guess that's understandable"

We got to the top floor penthouse and Jason was working on his laptop

"I have multiple trackers on Josh's things but all of them have been leading me to dead ends" he said as I settled in

"Did you try his phone" my dad asked Jason

"Damn Mathew that was the first thing I tried!"

"Relax you need to calm down"

"I can't my son is missing!"

"Don't you think I fucking know that I've been trying to help but all you've done is complain!"

"You think you were helping!? Bringing your daughter here only slowed us down, that is definitely not helping!"

I decided to ignore their annoying fighting until I heard a gunshot

And it was a loud one
