"You really think that you can do that?" Mads asked

"Of course, if Cynthia can do it then so can I"

"Good luck with that" Josh said  not being very supportive. And I just rolled my eyes

*Time Skip to After school*

I went to my locker to get all my stuff for cheer

"Hey babe" Josh said hugging me from behind squeezing my waist

"Josh stop, your gonna make me horny" I whined

"That's your fault for ditching me for cheer"

"Weren't you the one that got me on the team though?"

"I know I did but I still wanna spend time with you"

"We can hang out after cheer, ok?"

I kissed him and went to the gym, there were a bunch of girls there warming up. I didn't see Cynthia or Lauren and that's a plus. I put my stuff down and Mads walked in

"Nessa your gonna kill this" she said proudly

"Yeah let's start" I said back to her

"Ok ladies as you can see Cynthia won't make it today so I'm taking over" I said to everyone

"But she's always here, and how are you any better?" one of the girls said

"Well then why don't I show you"

I did a round off into a cartwheel, ending with another round off. The girls looked pretty impressed

"Now show me you guys have been doing"

They showed me the cheer they've been working on for the football game and it was not good

"This is not a team, some of you girls are too fast and some are too slow, take five

"Wow Ness your really good at this" Mads said to me as we sat against the wall

"What can I say, I'm good at leading, just like a captain would" I said back

"But will you get cheer with us if your doing this?" She asked

"Huh, I don't know? I wonder how Cynthia did it?"

"Well clearly you haven't been paying attention that much if your asking that question" Lauren said walking into the gym

"What are you taking about?" I said getting up

"Cynthia could lead the team and cheer with us because she was the best, she didn't need anyone telling her what to do" Lauren said

"Maybe that's why guys lost at state" Mads chuckled

"At least we got there. Anyways the nurse said that she'll be ok, but she can't do cheer just yet to prevent further injuries"

"Well until then, I'm captain" I said

"No way Cynthia said that if she can't be captain then-"

She got cut of by the announcements saying that the after school activities are over

"We have to go now so bye" I said as Mads and I started leaving

We got outside and went in to Josh's car, he dropped off Jaden and Mads at their house and went in my house

"What are you doing?" I asked

"Where going on a date" he said
