PART THIRTY-SIX

Nessa's POV

School is pretty boring right now since it's the last day and there is barely anything going on so I spent most of the day talking to Mads

"You ok girl you haven't been talking much?" Mads asked

"Not really I'm feeling very nauseous" I told her

"Maybe you're just tired"

"Yeah I guess so"

"Wanna skip?"

"Honestly yeah let's go"

While I driving I was feeling very lightheaded, my vision started to blur and my hands went numb

"Oh my gosh Nessa what are you doing your about to crash into that street light!" Mads screamed before everything went black

I woke up to a bright light hanging over me, my is head pounding but I managed to slightly open my eyes, to my right I saw Josh sitting in a hospital chair with his face buried in his hands

"Josh?" I said softly

He quickly looked up

"Oh thank goodness Nessa you're ok" he said relieved

"What happened where's Mads?"

"You crashed you car into a street light, but Mads is ok she just has a sprained wrist"

A couple minutes later a doctor walked in with a clipboard

"It's good to see you awake, the good news is that you only have a minor concussion and thankfully the baby was not harmed" she explained

Josh and I looked at each other in shock

"The baby!" We said in sync

"Yes congratulations you are two weeks pregnant!"

I can't believe I'm pregnant, I take my birth control pills every morning, I can't have a baby in high school

"This is good Ness" Josh said trying to cheer me up but I wasn't in the mood

"When can I see my friend Mads, she was in the car with me?" I asked trying to change the subject

"Maybe in like 10 minutes, your brain needs to rest a bit before you start to moving again" she said and left the room

"Why aren't you happy Nessa?" Josh asked me, I could tell he was not feeling the same way I was

"This is all just really unexpected, do you really think I should be having a child this young?"

"But when the baby arrives you'll have like three months left of school and I'll be their at every moment making sure that both you and the baby are ok" he said and kissed my cheek

I stared at the overhead lights wondering what the hell I'm gonna do about this fetus growing inside of my body, I could keep it and be pregnant for most of my senior year which sounds very stressful, but I could have an abortion, however I think that might upset Josh even if it's my body and who knows if I'll ever get the chance to be pregnant again, the female reproductive system is very complicated
