after soda beat up chandler we got in the car and drove home. "soda your hand!" i said noticing it all swollen. "i'm fine mae" he said "sodapop patrick curtis it could be broken!" i said sorta yelling. "i'm fine princess i promise" he said grabbing my hand. "we will look at it later ok?" i said.

"okay fine" he agreed. we got home and when i walked in dally ran to me and hugged me. "thank god your okay! hazel said you ran and i didn't know where you were" he said hugging me so tight i could breathe. "dally can't breathe" i said.

"sorry" he said letting go and hazel hugged me without saying anything. then steve ran and hugged me. "i'm sorry i couldn't protect you this is all my fault e i should've tried harder" he said and started crying. is steve randal crying? "stevie i'm okay i went to the dx and soda protected me. it isn't your fault chandlers just strong." i said and he calmed down and sat down.

"wait soda beat him up?" dally asked. "yep probably broke his own hand too" i said hugging him "your safety is the most important to me" he said kissing me. "he's right," hazel and dal said. "whatever guys stop worrying. i just gotta stop freezing up when i see him and i can protect myself" i said and two gave me a hug and we watched mickey for a bit til rachel and cosy came in.

"emma! your okay" they both said. "why wouldn't i be" i said forgetting for a second. they both looked at me confused. "oh right yes i'm okay thanks to soda" i smiled hugging them both and we continued watching mickey til amber and darry came in.

"EMMA MAE WINSTON GET OVER HERE NOW" amber yelled. "what did i do this time" i said walking over to her. "WHY DID I FIND OUT CHANDLER HIT YOU FROM DARRY IM YOUR GUARDIAN I HAVE TO KNOWMTHESE THINGS NOW" she yelled.

"i'm sorry amber i forgot i was gonna call you but i forgot because everyone was smothering me." i said. "whatever just tell me next time" she said hugging me. "glad your safe mae" darry said hugging me. i went back to soda and fell asleep until he said "mae wake up dinners ready" he said "ok coming" i said.

"dinners ready wake emma up soda" i yelled. "ok" he yelled back. "darry" i said and pulled darry aside. "yes aj" he said. "what am i gonna do?" i asked. "i can't let haz and mae go to school knowing he could hurt them again." i said.

"take them out of school then. i almost pulled pony out once when the socs kept getting him. it's an option just think about it okay?" he said. "ok thanks dar. also when should we tell them?" i said. "about us or school?" he said "us dummy" i laughed. "now" he smirked. "are you sure?" i said. "yes let's go" and walked and sat down at the table.

we were all eating and darry and amber came in and said "we have an announcement" "YOUR PREGNANT" i yelled jokingly. "no emma" amber said. "darry and i are dating!" she yelled "I KNEW I WASNT HEARING THINGS AT NIGHT" i yelled "NASTY" two-bit yelled.

"just saying i'm not mad" i said we all laughed and congratulated them. "i have another announcement" they both said not knowing at the same time. "what is it?" i asked. "well i got a promotion" darry said happily. "and i uh i'm pulling hazel and emma out of school" amber said 'YES" i yelled "and congrats dar" i said. "thanks" he said. after dinner soda and i went to my room and fell asleep.

next morning

"wake up princess" soda said kissing my head. "morning pepsi, what time is it?" i asked "8:30" he said smiling. "IM LATE FOR SCHOOL" i yelled jumping up. "you aren't going remember" he said. "oh right" i said. "can i got to work with you then?" i asked.

"of course but you aren't leaving my side" he said "ok fine" i said and went and got ready to go. as we were leaving i yelled "dal i'm going to the dx with soda!" "WAIT hazel and i will come" he said and they came running. i sat in the front and dally said "children in back" so i said "ok then you and hazel are in back. i'm older remember" i smiled.

"wise ass" he said getting in back. we arrived to the dx and soda seriously didn't leave my side. we were all working the register because he wouldn't let me out of sight. i had to pee with the door open this morning. then of course he walks in. he was with that girl that hit me a few months ago.

"soda" i whispered and he looked up. "oh come on man a day of peace is all i need" he said standing up. dally and soda went in front of hazel and i. "hi soda baby" the girl said. "go away gippi" soda said rolling his eyes. "what do you want chandler" i asked "i'm just here to leave a message" chandler said. "and what's the message" i scoffed. "your pretty boyfriend is at the top of my list now. you used to be but he is now. i already got rid of your precious fred and your parents. don't test me" he said and they walked out.
"DAMN IT" i said as i threw anything i could in sight.
