you and your twin brother dally got separated at 14. you and your sisters decide to go be with him again after your parents died when you turn 17. you find more than just your brother and friends. you find love, hurt, happiness, and heartbreak.
soda and i have been together for a month now. summer ends tomorrow. hazel and i start school here. i'm dreading it. i'll be okay tho i have my sister pony steve two and johnny and i'll make friends! i hope.... the gang and i promised we would spend all day together since it's our last day of summer. we're gonna make the most of it. "hey guys" i walked out and saw all three curtis's on the couch.
"hey beautiful" soda said pulling me onto his lap. "hi sodie" i smiled and kissed him. "hey emma" pony and darry said. "where's dallas?" i asked. "not sure he said he was with some girl" darry said. "we're supposed to all be together today tho" i said angrily. "i know baby he will be back soon" soda said playing with my hair.
"ok ok if he isn't i'm gonna kick his ass" i said laughing. we all laughed and then amber and hazel came in. "hey aj hey hazelnut" i said smiling. "hi mae" they both said. "so what're we gonna do today?" hazel asked sitting with pony. "i dunno. the fair is tonight we could go to that later and go to the lake in an hour or two or something" darry said
"good idea dar! i'll call two, pony call jonny, soda call stevie" i said. "yes ma'am" they both said. "hello?" two answered "hey two! we have a plan come over bring a suit and change of clothes!" i said. "will do. be there soon!" he said "wait who's house?" he asked. "mine" i replied. "okay cya soon doll" he said.
"bye two" i said hanging up. "you call them?" i asked soda and pony. "yep there on there way steve's gonna pick up johnny" soda said. "thanks baby" i said sitting back in his lap. "of course princess" he said tickling me. "no! stop! i hate tickles!" i yelled through breathes.
then everyone joined in tickling me. "IM GONNA BEAT ALL YOUR ASSES IF YOU DONT STOP" i yelled laughing but still angry and they all stopped. "that's what i thought" i said fixing my shirt. we all laughed and the three walked in. "hey stevie, johnnycakes, and two-butt" i squealed excited.
"why are you so excited e i'm tired" steve said sitting down "cuz we have an amazing day ahead of us!" i yelled happily. "take it down a notch" steve laughed. "ok sorry" i giggled. "where the hell is my brother" i yelled right as he walked in with some girl. "really dallas tucker?" i yelled. "what emma mae" he said confused.
"we have all day planned remember?" i said. "no we don't emma" he said annoyed. " oh wait i forgot all you care about is who you're gonna screw next. well have fun dallas cuz now you ruined my supposedly fun day" i yelled and ran to my room.
hazel
"really dal?" i asked. "what that's tomorrow!" he said defensively. "dally no it's today" amber yelled. "i'm sorry i forgot!" he yelled "of course you did dallas. you always do" i said and grabbed soda and we went to emma's room.
soda hazel grabbed my hand and we went to emma's room. "princess?" i asked knocking softly. "come in" emma whispered. we walked in and she was balling. hazel and i both ran to her and we hugged her. tight. "princess i'm sorry you don't deserve this" i said kissing her forehead.
"it's fine he always does this. i thought maybe today was different but i was wrong" she cried even more. "mae he cares about you he does he's just so forgetful" hazel said kindly but trying to take both sides. we heard a knock on the door and saw dally. "go away dal" emma said crying more. "damn it now all of you are watching me cry.
"I HATE CRYING DAMN IT" she said and pushed me and hazel off her. "can i talk to you alone please mae?" dally asked sincerely. "5 minutes" she said and hazel and i went out.

"mae i'm sorry. i really am. i'm a shit brother and i know it. i try i do i just i don't know i'm a selfish bastard i'm sorry" he said and started crying. is dallas winston crying? "dally don't cry it's okay. shit i made the toughest person i know cry" i said worried. he just laughed. "it's okay mae you didn't do it i'm an idiot i did this to myself. don't tell anyone i cried or i'll kill you" he said hugging me.
"i won't. can we both make an effort to be best friends again please?" i asked. "of course we can slugger" he said hugging me tighter. "i'm gonna get a suit on. i'll be out in a minute amber will tel, you what's going on" i said smiling. "okay mae"he said and left.
i got my swimsuit on and put one of sodas shirts over and walked out. (emma's swimsuit below)

i walked out and said "everyone get ready come on!" i yelled "calm down mae we will in a sec" amber laughed. "ok fine" i pouted and sat with soda. "so that's where that shirt went" soda said laughing and hugging me tightly. "yea and your never getting it back" i smiled.
"you look better in it anyway" he smiled and kissed my cheek. "ok everyone go i'm impatient" i yelled and everyone laughed and went and got ready. "PRINCESS WHERES MY SUIT" soda yelled. "SHOULD BE IN MY CLOSET" i yelled back "THANKS BABY" he yelled "WELCOME"
20 minutes later
we all loaded in the cars and headed to the lake. "FINALLY" i yelled and jumped in the lake after taking off sodas shirt. "your so impatient princess" soda said jumping in. "I know but you love it" i laughed "yes i do" he smiled and splashed me "hey!" i splashed back. everyone was in the water splashing each other now.
"come lay on the dock with me baby" soda said grabbing my hand. "yes sir" i said laughing. we laid on the dock and just stared at each other. "i don't want this to end" i said frowning. "me either princess but it has too" he said kissing my forehead. "i wish you were at school with me tomorrow" i said. "i'm sorry baby i'm an idiot" he said "hey no you aren't you did it for your family baby and i admire it" i kissed him and hugged him right.
"let's go back in the water huh?" he said and we jumped in. about an hour later we all went home showered and changed to go to the fair. at the fair we played all sorts of games. then i saw him. he was just standing there staring at me. "DALLAS AMBER HAZEL COME HERE NOW" i yelled not breaking eye contact with him. "what is it" they all said coming over. "he's back" i said and i looked terrified. "shit" they all said.
