Forbidden Spells

A Close Call

"AGHHHH- YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS I SWEAR" Alice screamed in pain.

"I told you not to try me, I gave you the chance to walk away" I shout from behind a tree. I see Jaxon approach me from the side, I could tell he didn't really want to be apart of any of this. His hatred for me seemed forced, but nonetheless he still hated me. "I'm sorry Dani, really I am" he whispered just enough for me to hear. "What do yo-" I feel my breath leave my body as a flash of red comes from his wand.

"CRUCIO" he shouts at the top of his lungs

I scream in pain, this was unbearable. I begin to cry; I could feel my body becoming less and less lifelike. Was this what dying was like? I began to think the worst. With what vision I had left I saw Clara standing next to Jaxon. She was laughing. The only people I thought were going to be my good friends, standing above me. One was killing me, the other was stood there laughing. I begin to close my eyes to just accept there was nothing I could do to save myself.

"MOVE! I TOLD YOU SHE IS MINE" screamed Alice. She hovers above my now paralysed body and kneels down, "This is what happens when you try to be someone you are not" she whispers. As she kicks me twice in the face. She goes to stand up as I grab her collar and pull her back down to my face. "Do me a favour? Go fuck yourself" I say with a smile as blood rolled down my chin. "Clara give me my wand" Alice shouts. I knew what she was about to do, she was going to kill me whilst I was paralysed. Talk about weakness, Its one thing to kill someone when their back is turned but when they are paralysed is just pathetic.

"Are you sure this is a good Idea, I mean we could get caught. I don't want to get expelled" said Clara quietly. "Oh shut your face and give me the wand" sneered Alice. I saw Clara hesitate, "go on Clara, be a sheep all your life" I say. Clara gives her the wand.

"I was going to make this quick and simple but to be completely honest, I really hate you and I want you to suffer" says Alice, at this point she had gone mad. I guess fear does that to people, especially cruel people like her. "I have given you no reason to hate me actually, all I did was defend myself from a spell YOU fired at me, from a duel that YOU organised." I say, grinning. "You are one annoying son of a bitch, any last words?" she says hovering above me. "I think I said everything earlier but let me refresh your pathetic little mind, go. fuck. yourself" I say smiling.

"AVADA KED-" I close my eyes and brace myself for the life ending agony that was coming, a flash of three things came into my mind. My mum, Pipsqueak (my cat) and- Snape"

"EXPELLIARMUS" bellowed a deep voice. I open one eye, I could barely see anything anymore. Only silhouettes. Whoever cast the disarming spell was very tall, dark and had a very deep voice. It couldn't be. Could it? At this point 3 of the figures were all fighting against one. It was hard to tell the students apart as they were all wearing black so they could make a getaway if a teacher came. As I was having a mental conversation with myself a huge flash of fire spread across the floor meters away from me and 3 of the silhouettes took off into the forest.

I felt someone kneel next to me, I could not see anything now. Then I felt myself being lifted off the ground and being carried in their arms. I was safe, for now.

"Is she going to be okay" a voice asked, I could not make out who's it was. Every inch of my body was in pain and my hearing and sight was minimal to say the least. "It will take time, but yes she will be okay. Do you know what happened to her" another voice asked. "3 Students were trying to kill her" they replied. "Good lord. Why would anyone want to kill a fellow student, especially here" the other voice said, obviously shocked. "She is not just any student- she is THE student." the voice said. "Oh I see. You should go and inform Albus that this has happened, she should have had protection to prevent something like this happening. Poor girl" the voice said with care. "I'm going there now. Unlikely as it is, Inform me if anything changes with her" the voice said as they walk off down the hall . "She is in the safest of hands. don't you worry" the other voice chirped.
