Forbidden Spells

The end is near

I walk down to my chamber and open the door to see Severus already sat on the edge of the bed waiting for me. How did he get here so quickly? I only just left the classroom!

"You forgot I could apparate didn't you" Severus says with a grin.

Of course I didn't, If I am being honest I found his talent of apparition mesmerising. I just didn't know how affective it could be.

"No of course not, I just- didn't expect you to be well... here so fast" I say, blushing.

He smiles at me and pulls me down so I sit beside him.

"I have to say- I'm so proud of you. With everything that's been going on you finally managed to control your emotions, especially in that situation. It must have been hard for you" he says staring at me with kind eyes.

I look at the floor, I knew exactly what he meant and why he was proud of me so... why wasn't I at peace with myself? If I am being honest its probably because I could have done some serious harm if Severus had not gotten hurt, I knew exactly how he would feel If I tried anything. I had to put him first, always.

"Thank you, Severus" I say smiling up at him.

I noticed he was no longer bleeding from his stomach, how was that even possible? He just got hit with one of the most deadliest spells know to Wizard Kind. Then I remember, he was him. He had so many powers, some of which I think are still hidden from me. Probably for the best though.

"Your friend... Theo, is he alright" Severus asks.

"Yeah he is fine, he was amazed at how you stepped in when you did. He said if it wasn't for you he would have been dead, which is true" I said, squeezing his hand.

"Well I know how much he means to you and how much he has helped you, especially when...when I couldn't" He says looking down at the floor.

I stand up and kneel down in front of him.

"Severus... You have helped me more than you will ever know. You have saved me more times than anyone should be saved. Without you- I would be dead, and I don't just say that... I mean it" I say, tears welling up in my eyes.

"Now now, don't go getting all soppy on me" he says laughing as he pulls me into a hug.

I hold onto him tightly and embrace him, I wish this feeling could last for ever.

"Dani there is something I have been meaning to tell you" he says.

"There is something I want to tell you also" I say with a smile.

As he opens his mouth to speak there is a frantic banging on the door, who the hell could that be?

I walk over to the door and to my surprise Professor Mcgonagall bounds in looking terrified.

"S-SEVERUS THANK GOD" she shouts.

Severus and I exchange concerned looks, what on earth had her so shaken up.

"They are here, we need to go now. Albus has issued a full evacuation of the school, all the students and staff are fleeing as we speak" she says in one breath.

"Professor, who are you on about" I say, at this point I was beginning to get worried but I was holding myself together.

"The Death Eaters, this time they have come in numbers far greater than we have ever seen before" she says, her voice trembling.

"We need to leave. NOW" says Severus quickly standing up and grabbing my arm.

"Hold on a minute, I can't just leave without Pipsqueak" I shout.
